Welcome to our home! Since purchasing the property six years ago we have completely renovated the ground floor and much of the first floor as well, creating a comfortable and contemporary family home, with period features retained. Original wooden sash windows let in plenty of light and all of the rooms are spacious and bright. There is a playroom equipped with games, a piano, large screen TV and DVD player, and both the playroom, living room and master bedroom have Sky Q. The living room has a wood burner and several shelves of books which you are welcome to sample from during your stay.

The kitchen diner is well-equipped and has integrated appliances including a washing machine and tumble dryer. From here, large windows - one a sliding door - lead out to a deck with outdoor seating and dining. There are steps down to an enclosed, spacious garden with ample space for kids to play.

The first floor has a large master bedroom overlooking the garden, with super-king bed and antique wardrobe and chest of drawers. There is a large second bedroom with bay window - please note that this room currently has a single bed and trundle (as shown in the photo) but this will be upgraded to a double bed prior to the summer. There is also a modern bathroom on this floor with a spacious walk in shower and separate bath (there is also a WC on the ground floor). The loft has been converted into another large third bedroom with single bed, pull out double sofa bed and tropical fish tank! Please note this room does not have a door (although it is still fairly private and not overlooked) and so is probably more suited to children than adults.

The house is situated on a quiet residential street just a few minutes walk from Bude town centre and its stunning beaches. The town offers an ever-increasing collection of independent shops and galleries, a range of restaurants (everything from fish and chips through to fine dining), as well as two excellent local markets on a Friday and Saturday. There is a plethora of outdoor pursuits on your doorstep (18-hole links golf course, coastal path and Bude canal for boating / cycling to name but a very few) and if you can't bring everything with you there are fantastic bike and surf hire shops nearby. Bude has two great beaches - Summerleaze is 5-10 minutes walk from the house and boasts a large sea pool. Crooklets is the next beach along (the two are connected at low tide) and both have beach huts for day hire and excellent cafes and shops supplying buckets, spades etc.

We can't imagine living anywhere else and hope you will enjoy your stay at our property and your time in Bude!
