About the property

Luxury Cottage, Located on the Quay with 'The Best View in Ireland'

Roundstone Rentals (www.roundstonerentals.ie) is proud to bring to you an exclusive self-catering property on the village quay in one of Ireland's most sought after holiday locations.

The Quay House has oil fired central heating, wireless broadband, satellite TV, free parking outside the door, hotel standard beds, linen and goose down duvets

The view from the living room and bedrooms, described as one of the best views in Ireland, is ever changing throughout the seasons. The cottage is located on the pier in the heart of the fishing village of Roundstone in the Connemara region, an area famous worldwide for its picturesque views, award-winning restaurants, fishing, walking and breathtaking beaches. O'Dowds Bar & Restaurant and Vaughan's Roundstone House Hotel, only metres from the house, serve award winning seafood throughout the season.

For those with kayaks or even their own boat, the cottage provide a fantastic base for your holiday where you can step outside your front door and into your boat, moored in the shelter of Roundstone Harbour.

Golden sand and crystal clear water can be found at Gurteen Beach and Dogs Bay, only 2 km away. These beaches are a mecca for swimming and beach combing during the summer months. Climb Errisbeg mountain behind the village and return for O'Dowd's famous seafood chowder, or locally picked mussels prior to a short stroll down the harbour to the luxury of the Quay House

Roundstone Rentals is a small family operated business. We own and manage the Quay properties and make every effort to ensure that our guests have a memorable holiday. We live nearby and are available to meet you on arrival to ensure that you get settled in.

Wonderful stay in Roundstone

  • 5 of 5

We had an amazing time in Roundstone at the Quay House. The home exceeded all expectations, and I mean that. It has everything you need and is very clean and well maintained. There can't be a better place to relax in Ireland. It's hard to pull oneself away from the living room view. The bedroom views are even better. The local pubs are less than a minute away on foot. I really can't say enough good things about our stay. It was also very child friendly (we had a one year old with us). Anne and her husband were very gracious and professional. I can't wait to return to Ireland and stay at the Quay House!

Amazing House, Amazing Location!!!

  • 5 of 5

Wow, I don't know where to start. All I can say is that the view through the downstairs window is like nothing I've ever seen before. The 12 Bens are perfectly framed by the front window with Roundstone harbor in the foreground. I'd have tea and just watch the ever changing view. The two upstairs front bedrooms also had the same amazing view. Such a clean, bright, and cozy house. Loved Roundstone and the friendliness of its people. We frequented O'Dowd's and always enjoyed their dinners. This is a perfect location to see Connemara. Would (and probably will) return again sometime soon. Simon and Anne are wonderful hosts and we can't thank you enough for offering your home to our family for a much needed relaxing visit.

The Perfect Location for Exploring Connemara

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house and would highly recommend it. The village of Roundstone is spectacular and a great base for exploring the beautiful rugged landscape of Connemara. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. It was wonderful to wake up to the sound of the water and to see the spectacular mountains in the distance. We could enjoy the activity on the harbour every day from the comfort of the living room. Anne was great to deal with, she responded promptly and professionally to all correspondence.

Outstanding!!

  • 5 of 5

Roundstone is a bit out of the way, but well worth it. The sea side town is so quaint and the Quay house is perfect. Out the front window is a view to die for. Not more than a few hundred feet are pubs and restaurants that are wonderful and the people are the most hospitable. The Quay house itself has everything one would need. Plenty of room and very comfortable. We would highly recommend staying here if ever in Ireland.

Simply the best place we have ever rented!

  • 5 of 5

This is the best holiday home we've ever rented, and we've rented many! The location is unbeatable, with fantastic views that you never tire of. The house is really well designed and set up, a real house that easily accommodated the five of us, including a two year old. The owners are very friendly, helpful and responsive. Roundstone is the ideal base for exploring west Connemara, with pubs and restaurants a couple of minutes walk from the house. This is THE place to stay if you want a house by the sea in Connemara.
