Sea View Finca & HEATED pool

Country 120.000 m² finca with direct views to the sea, situated at La Matanza, only 9 minutes from Puerto de la Cruz, a tourist town full of amenities. This avocado plantation (they only use Biological products, not pesticides) is a charming corner to enjoy the peace and the views. The large 10 x 4 m pool (heated in winter up to 24ºC) is absolutely beautiful and the BBQ area with comfortable sofas invites you to spend nice evenings enjoying a meal and a glass of wine. There are only 4 one bedroom apartments (57m2) + 4 two bedroom apartaments (67m2) each with own entrance and terrace, with ample bedrooms and quality furniture.

Apartment description: The apartment A has its own terrace, 1 double bedroom, shower room, fully equipped kitchen, ample sitting room.

The apartment has WI-Fi, satellite TV, DVD, fully equipped kitchen has everything you need: washing machine, oven, vitro, toaster, coffee machine, etc.

General: Linen and towels provided. Outdoors: private 1000 m² wild garden with fruit trees (you can take some fruit if you wish). Recommended local restaurants: La Cuadra de San Diego. Environment: quiet area of coastal fincas, most of them vineyards, small plantation or private houses. Pets: not allowed. Local Sports: swimming, diving, golfing, cycling, fishing and walking. Fabulous and family friendly

We spent two weeks at one of the Las Mantanzas appartments. It was everything we wished for and more. The appartment was very well equipped and maintained, as was the communal area around the pool. All appartments are gated and so great for young children. We loved being able to pick the ripe bananas off the trees, and the goodie boxes left for us to help ourselves to the deliciously ripe avocados and passion fruits, such a treat right from the farm. The area is beautiful and green, with easy access to go off and enjoy all of Tenerife, the complex is quiet and secluded, a car is definately a must We would definately return again and have recommended this to our friends and family. We have really fond memories of our stay.

It was a wonderful situation, a lovely apartment,

We had a super holiday at the attractive, peaceful apartments. No 6 has the best private garden. Everything was clean and comfortable. The staff were cheerful and helpful. The only disappointment was lack of cooking tools and kitchen plug. There were no bowls for preparing & cooking, nothing to measure ingredients with. We used empty bottles and food containers but could not measure weights. If you need to prepare foods for children or special diets it could be difficult. The salad bowl would serve 10, but we used it for washing up in. The only baking vessels would make lasagne for 8, nothing smaller. There was nothing to use to cook in the microwave. If you don't want to cook, you will have no problem. We enjoyed all the fruit left for us to enjoy. Everything else was PERFECT. In November we were glad of heating and blankets. We were able to be private and meet with other guests in the pool and BBQ area. Evenings there were fun even in the rain as it is covered. If the weather is not so good, drive to the south, it will be better. We had a lovely stay and can recommend this apartment complex for all who enjoy a little peace and quiet with easy access to a small town. Be sure to try the farmers' market at the weekend. We will certainly return if we choose Tenerife again. Thankyou for a good holiday.

Yes, the atmosphere is very quiet but friendly, I am glad that you enjoyed the pool and barbacue on November. Yes, at night our heating is appreciated, as it gets fresh, but usually it is fine to use a sweater. We recommend all our clients some "must" to visit on the island and the farmer market is one of them, I am happy to know that you followed our tips. Thank you for your suggestions about the kitchen utensils, we will certainly inform Maria. Usually she provides any extra thing that our clients need, it was my fault not to tell her to ask them for. But I saw you managed quite well anyway!. Thank you for giving us the opportunity!

Thank you for a very pleasant stay

We stayed at Finca San Diego for a week from 28th December. Though initially a bit challenging to find, it was well worth the effort. The apartment was clean and modern, with everything we could have needed - microwave, coffee maker, kettle, oven and stove, fridge and freezer, etc. There was a nice modern television, though not many English speaking channels, but there was wifi, so you could watch Netflix etc if you wanted to. There was a balcony and a little terrace outside our door to sunbathe on, or we could go down to the pool, which was heated and the surroundings were very pleasant and well-kept with a covered shaded area and even a BBQ if you wanted to use it.

The morning after our arrival we were greeted by Enrique, the manager, who was nice and friendly and said if we needed anything, to just call him. We rang him on New year's eve to see if we could arrange a taxi to Puerto de la Cruz that evening. He was very helpful and asked Maria, the housekeeper, to help us, which she did and was very kind and good-humoured.

You need a car to really enjoy the holiday properly, but La Matanza is a 25 minute walk away and Saint Ursula and Puerto de la Cruz are a short drive down the coast.The north of the island is very green and pleasant and it was hot enough to be sunbathing in January, and much nicer to look at than the more tourist-orientated south.

In short I would recommend this place without hesitation, as I can't think of a single negative thing about the experience. Thank you for a pleasant stay, we will be back!

Quiet and relaxing

Accommodation was clean, well laid out and nothing was unduly missing for the 10 days that we stayed. The pool was lovely and even though shared was not busy at all. There are some lovely restaurants a few minutes drive away. Take a smart phone with a map application on it to get the best benefit of the local areas.

The beaches are lovely but you need to be a strong swimmer as the waves can get a little high!

The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Yes, it is a shared pool but usually it is not busy, as the kind of guest we have prefer to do some sightseeing all day! Well, the Atlantic can have high waves on winter time, we warn everybody to be prudent. The list of hidden local restaurants we provide on the area is quite complete, but you have to know the area to find some of them!

Very comfortable

Clean, tidy and well-equipped. Much more spacious than I had expected. Set in a nice quiet part of the island, away from the tourist development. Just like the photograph on the website. Great views over the sea to the north and to Mount Teide in the west. Our week was cloudy with some rain, but with a car, we could always find sun on other parts of the island, or better still, above the cloud on the volcano. With a heated apartment, hot towel rail and heated pool, the cool weather didn't detract from our stay. Maria and Enrique were very welcoming and helpful. A car is essential.
