Great location spoilt by annoying faults

I would have given it 5 stars if there werent so many annoying faults which could easily and cheaply be rectified. BBQ filthy had to clean it myself but it turned out to be useless anyway. 1 outside chair with slat missing. Small plastic table had burn marks. Wicker table glass top missing. Gates wouldnt close. Outside light hanging by wires. A/C is charged on meter which also supplies other circuits so you would be charged more than you use. . Pointed this out to manager who said that we wouldnt be charged. I would hope not as we didnt use the A/C. No insect mesh on windows. No rugs on floors as pics. Locks to outside doors difficult to operate. Cabinet door to washing machine wont close. Toilet roll holder hanging off wall in ensuite and window wont open. Salad drawer in fridge split. Curtain missing in 2nd bedroom. Reluctantly replaced by manager ('no one else has complained')! Our friends were awake at daybreak for 2 mornings. No sink plug main b/room. Several light bulbs missing. Miss matched and chipped crockery. Only 4 sunbeds for 6 people?? The manager was abrupt and not too helpful. All these small things add up to spoil the experience

Fantastic secluded getaway

If you're looking for peace and quiet with stunning views then this villa is for you. The villa itself has everything you need and is homely and comfortable, but the outside space really sells this place. Plenty of outdoor seating to relax with a drink and a book, or to eat something cooked on the spacious bbq and four loungers by the side of the stunning pool which is totally private and not overlooked by anything. Madeleine is a fantastic host and sorted a problem we had with hot water quickly and efficiently and is friendly and will answer any questions you may have. The villa is about 18 minutes from a well stocked supermarket located in a shopping centre, and about 35 minutes from Nerja. Two pieces of advice: follow the map Madeleine sends you to get to the villa, not your GPS (we learnt this the hard way!) and hire a decent car. Yes, the road to the villa is twisty and steep but once you reach it, it's 100% worth it. We've already recommended to family and will be back ourselves as didn't want to leave!

Haus mit Meerblick

Wir hatten einen gänzlich ungetrübten Aufenhalt. Das Haus liegt an einem Berghang mit einem herrlichen Blick auf das Meer. Haus Grundstück und Pool sind sehr gepflegt und vor den Schlafzimmerfenster sind Fliegennetze. Die Zufahrt zum Haus ist nichts für ängstliche Autofahrer

Aangenaam verblijf.

Bij aankomst viel de netheid meteen op. De woning is ruim en heeft een prachtige ligging met een mooi panoramisch uitzicht. Met een gewone auto is het goed te bereiken. Wijzelf hadden een huurcamionette. Daar waren wel wat stuurkunsten voor nodig om binnen te rijden. In het huisje waren een paar kleine minpuntjes. Zo hadden we geen licht in de keuken en was de internetverbinding aan de zwakke kant. Dit is echter detailkritiek, want verder was alles echt in orde. Goed uitgeruste keuken (oven, microwave, goed fornuis, vaatwasser, wasmachine, ...) ruime kamers. Er was airco aanwezig, maar doordat het huisje ook veel vliegenramen heeft, was het niet nodig die te gebruiken, aangezien er perfect met het raam open kon geslapen worden. Gelukkig maar, want we wisten door laattijdige communicatie, pas de dag voor onze aankomst dat de airco betalend was. Het zwembad was heerlijk, al kan ik me voorstellen dat een gezin met kleine kindjes het jammer vindt dat je, ook als volwassene, bijna nergens kan staan. Er staan 4 goede ligbedden rond het zwembad, perfect voor een dagje zonnebaden. Op het terras voor het huis is er overdag vaak een verfrissend windje en kan je lekker in de schaduw zitten met een glas Tinto de verano en een goed boek. Het huis is goed gelegen op ongeveer een kwartiertje rijden van de dichtst bijzijnde stad en winkels. Zoals overal buiten de steden in Spanje, heb je uiteraard een auto nodig om ergens te geraken. In ruil daarvoor heb je in casa Golondrina een heerlijk rustige ligging, goed voor een topvakantie!!

Wow ! Wow ! Wow!!!

I have already booked a few houses in the past. But what we found here exceeds the expectation by far: Perfectly clean, and well-kept, excellently prepared and no empty promises. I have never found a house in such perfect condition, super equipped and maintained. Shower, toilet, pool, water pressure, cleanliness super, could not have been better. Really not. Thank you very much! You earn an extra star! * * * * * * We will be back!
