A little home from home in a lovely quiet location

We spent 4 weeks on Madeira & we really enjoyed our stay in this little house. Just about everything we needed was supplied & we felt very comfortable & at home there. We didn't meet Filipe but he sent us plenty of emails & texts & we were pretty sure he'd be available if the need arose. The house was in a fairly ideal situation for us, on the very edge of town with views of the mountains & we were able to enjoy flocks of birds passing by in the neighbouring gardens. We were also very close to the Levada, so there was a lovely walk right on hand. We'd hired a car & explored the island every day & could see what the weather was like both up in the mountains & at sea level before we set off. There were a couple of restaurants within a very short walking distance & a supermarket also in walking distance. It was a bit chilly at times as we were there in January & Prazeres is fairly high up, so not as warm as lower down near the coast. But the quiet location more than made up for this for us & we were never cold enough to need to make use of the woodburner. All in all we had a great stay at this little budget accommodation .

Cosy home in great location

We loved Filipe's place. Great for exploring the West and North of Madeira. Everything you need was there. Communication with Filipe was easy. He also helped us when one of our bags was lost by TAP. We hope to return one day!

Superb, well equipped house. Excellent location for walking.

Nice quiet location for a walking holiday and close to Calheta if you want a beach. The house is absolutely lovely. There were only two of us but the house would be comfortable for 4 or 5. There is absolute;y everything that you need for a comfortable stay. Most nights we ate at the restaurant in Prazeres, 5 minutes walk from the house.
