The weather in Mauritius in its winter, and in the English summer, is quite superb.
Temperatures average around 23 degrees (often higher in our experience) no rainfall, no humidity, and a gentle summer breeze. One lovely sunny day after another. Another big advantage other than weather is that it is low season for Mauritius and flights are much lower.
Our large villa is in a small village called Roche Terre (near Grande Gaube) in the north of Mauritius, ten minutes drive from Grande Bay where there are top super markets and shopping, restaurants, and all kinds of tourist attractions.
The Villa was built to instruction 8 years ago, it is contemporary, and has most mod-cons (but no smart home). There are three double bedrooms each with ensuite bathrooms, a very large kitchen diner, a large terrace leading to the infinity swimming pool, a TV room and another dining area. The kitchen has two double ovens, a 5 ring hob (Siemens) a dishwahser, and washing maching. The total living area is 4,000 square feet.
The villa is exceptionally private, in 1.5 acres of grounds, and is totally tranquil and secluded, the whole area being bordered by a perimeter wall laced with bougainvillea, and trees. There is a far view of the sea, but the beach is only 5 minutes drive away. There is a boules pitch which has hosted many a fun afternoon (boules provided).
Included in the price is a daily maid (Priya) and gardener (Manoj), also a faithful ten year old Honda which we use for local run-around journeys.
The Villa will accept a minimum stay of one week and is available from May through to October.
Mauritius is GMT +3 in the UK summer, flying time is 12 hours directly with British Airways or Air Mauritius or Air France via Paris , or Emirates via Dubai).
