A most fantastic Break

  • 5 of 5

The weekend.started off on a real high - a free chocolate cake, I don't know of a better way to get started

Then the accommodation - wow, absolutely spot on - it was like living in someones home every little detail catered for, fantastic

As if this wasn't enough "Location, Location, Location" - the beach a short stroll away, the shops again close by and all the wonderful East coast within easy striking distance.

We would highly recommend The Lemon Tree (15 mins stroll away) for a fantastic meal

The cherry on the top was the glorious weather over the weekend

Disappointed Easter Weekend

  • 1 of 5

On arriving had to wash the cups & glasses as they were dirty. The cottage is dusty & counted over 20 cobwebs. Bathroom suite is old & dangerous with broken tiles & mouldy grouting. Shower curtain smelly with mould. The whole cottage needs a good clean & a refurbish!

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to post your review. I am rather surprised by the negative content in this review as it is totally opposite to the reviews you wrote in my Visitor's Book telling me about the ,lovely stay you had both this Easter and last Easter......... It also does not reflect the excellent reviews from other guests previous to your stay........

Cosy Cottage!

  • 5 of 5

Small, but perfect for two (+ dog), the cottage is well equipped and enjoys a great location. Description was spot on, and the property was lovely and clean, with some thoughtful welcoming items. The weather could have been kinder, but we would love to return and would happily recommend the property to others. ( have already done so)

Lovely property, great location

  • 5 of 5

The cottage is very clean, cosy and well equipped. There are lots of thoughtful touches like tea, coffee, milk and cake when you arrive. It's a short stroll to the beach and the transpennine trail starts right behind the pretty garden . A short walk in to the town and there's a good choice of places to eat or buy groceries. Highly recommended for walkers/dogs.

Station Mews Hornsea

  • 5 of 5

The property is well equipped with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing holiday. The accommodation is clean, comfortable, warm and welcoming with a lovely greeting from the owner, Babette. Tea bags, coffee, milk and cake in the kitchen on arrival - after your journey this is excellent. The location is ideal for walking into town, leisure centre and local pub - good Black Sheep available! We will be back again and again.

A comfortable cottage in a quiet seaside town

  • 4 of 5

The cottage is comfortable, quiet and ideal for a relaxing break from a busy life. It is in an excellent location, close to the beach and to the town centre. The cottage was clean and generally well-maintained - there was a piece of paper in the kitchen to note down any niggles. The bed was quite soft which would probably suit some people more than others. The owner is efficient in dealing with emails before arrival and provides a cake and some milk for guests on arrival. There are some nice cafes in Hornsea itself - we enjoyed lunches at the Old Cottage and at Cafe Chocolat - and we enjoyed our Chinese meal at the Chinese Lantern. The Hornsea Freeport outlet centre is walkable from the cottage and is substantial enough given that Hornsea's population is less than 10,000. We found some good bargains going arounfd the shops and had an excellent lunch at William's Farm Kitchen. So, yes, we would indeed recommend the cottage to anyone wanting a relaxing break.
