Free washing and drying facilities are located in a communal area below reception. Reception is open 24/7.

The living room is tastefully decorated, featuring a sofa and armchairs opening out onto a sunny private balcony with breathtaking views across the valley. There is a dining table with 8 chairs and free wifi access. There is a TV with channels from across Europe, including BBC1/2, ITV and C4/5.

Bread can be ordered from reception and grocery delivery is available with online ordering.

Why Chris Mason chose Flaine - Grand Massif

Having skied in many French resorts, as well as elsewhere in Europe and in Canada, we wanted to buy somewhere that was easily accessible by car and by plane and which provided first rate skiing covering an extensive area. The apartment can be reached in just 6 hours from Central London, or about 11 hours if driving. Geneva airport is very well served by most UK airports as well as by many airports in the rest of Europe.

The apartment is at an altitude of 1650 metres and the ski area extends above 2300 metres, providing near guaranteed skiing throughout the season.

The development is managed by Pierres & Vacances, the very large French leisure and property group, and was originally built by Intrawest, a Canadian company. Completed in 2009, the development reflects the high standards typical of North American resorts and has 5* Residence de Tourisme status.

What makes this apartment unique

Ski in ski out was essential and Flaine Montsoleil offers this and lots more. The heated outdoor swimming pool may not be very eco-friendly but there is nothing to beat lying in the pool or relaxing in the jacuzzi after a day's skiing. If you have not had enough exercise during the day you can visit the fitness centre, located just above the jacuzzi and steam room.

If driving there, whether from the airport or elsewhere, you can park your car about 30 metres from the apartment door, all on the same level. The private ski locker is located just two floors up with direct access to the piste.

Reception is open 24/7 and is available to order fresh bread for the morning, pre-order your ski passes and to deal with any questions you may have. A new restaurant and bar facility opened in December 2013, providing the opportunity to share your day's experiences with other guests.

There are activities available most evenings for all ages, including crepe making, snow shoe walking and entertainers.

July and August offers many different activities. The beautiful scenery has to be seen to be believed and the walking can be as leisurely or as challenging as you choose to make it. The main lift in Flaine opens for the summer season, the views from the top of the cable car across to Mont Blanc are truly stunning. Alternatively, drive for 15 minutes down to Carroz and many more lifts are open with mountain biking and paragliding available.

The apartment is available to let from Saturday to Saturday or from Sunday to Sunday if available and by arrangement with the owners. Leaving on a Sunday provides the opportunity to ski on Saturday, the quietest day of the week, and to leave the resort when the roads are less congested.

Great week in Flaine

My family and i (two teenage girls plus wife) stayed in Chris's apartment for a week in early March this year.

The apartment is lovely.Two good size double bedrooms plus two bathrooms , nice comfortable lounge area all tastefully decorated throughout. Also a great view from the front balcony across to the mountains.The position for us was just about perfect.Just out side the village area of Flaine (10-15mins walk).If you're feeling lazy in the evening you can jump in the free taxi that runs from the apartment and just call when you want to be picked up again.

The apartment complex also offers a nice heated outdoor pool and restaurant.

There's also a Spar in the apartments next door which was very handy.

Ski in / ski out couldn't have been easier.You exit the boot room to find a very gentle slope that takes you down to a chair lift that then links you into the main ski/lift area.

Skiing back was just as easy.

The Flaine area holds the snow well so even though the weather was very mild and sunny most of the runs remained well groomed and open.

There's also lots of lovely tree-lined runs when you drop over into Les Carroz and Morillon.

All in all a great weeks skiing.

Great Family Ski Holiday

The apartment lived up to high expectations. It was well equipped and ideally situated for us with Ski In/Out. (This would not be suitable for complete beginner but the bus down to the resort centre was easy to catch from opposite the entrance.) The owners were helpful in answering our queries. The children enjoyed using the outdoor swimming pool. The Spar Supermarket in the adjoining Helios was well stocked and an easy stop off as you skied home. It was very useful having undercover parking which was easily accessed from the apartment.

Although we arranged our own ski hire there is Ski Hire in Helios and also Ski-Set offered a shuttle bus service to the shop.

Excellent ski in ski out apartment.

Fabulous weeks skiing in Flaine. Lots of snow the week we were there so enjoyed the luxury of ski in ski out.

Enjoyed the use of the jacuzzi, pool & steam room. The pool was a little cool for myself but well used by others in our party.

Excellent ski bus & the complimentary evening transport was a bonus.

Loved the opportunity to order fresh bread daily with reception.

All in all an excellent time had by all.

We will definitely return & recommend to friends.

Brilliant apartment in a very family friendly holiday village.

Excellent apartment. Great to have two very well appointed bathrooms and comfy living areas. Kitchen has everything you need, beds are comfy.

Montesoliel has a mini bus that ferries residents around the resort with brilliant efficiency. The bread deliveries are great - set them up before 7pm.

The snow wasn't great so we had to use ski bus but the resort staff did their best to make the most of what snow we had.

We had a lovely week - would heartily recommend.

Fantastic apartment

Had such a brilliant summer holiday in and around flaine. There are so many nice walks to do in such a peaceful location with places like Chamonix and Geneva only a short distance away.the apartment was amazing; had everything we needed, loads of space and is kitted out to such a high standard.cant fault it at all!owners were very helpful with suggestions for things to do before we left.the hotel facilities were great too and it was well worth eating at the hotel restaurant.a spar and a bakery was only a 5-10 min walk away and there are a couple of larger supermarkets at the foot of the mountain before you ascend.this was out first Alps summer holiday and certainly won't be out last.will will definitely stay here again!

Ski in ski out location with direct access to the 265km of the Grand Massif ski area. Just an 8 hour drive from Calais, the apartment is very accessible. The first floor apartment is south facing, offering wonderful views across the valley. Many of the slopes are north facing, providing excellent skiing for beginners and experienced skiers alike. The off piste opportunities are extensive and local guides are available to show you the best terrain.

Facilities include a large outdoor heated swimming pool, a Jacuzzi, steam room, sauna fitness centre and games room.

The pistes are accessed directly from the ski locker room on the third floor.

From December 2013 there is a bar and restaurant in the development. The bar is open from late afternoon where you can share your stories from the day's activities and sit down and enjoy a meal without having to leave the building.

There is a free shuttle bus available during the day and a free taxi service for guests between 18.00 hours and midnight. Shops and restaurants are available locally.

Free underground parking is located just 30 metres from the apartment. Guests are asked to ensure that the kitchen is left clean and that all crockery and utensils are cleaned and put back in the cupboards. All other end of stay cleaning, the bed linen, towels and bath robes are included in the winter season's rentals. For the summer season an additional charge of £100 will be added to cover end of stay cleaning, bed linen etc.

The summer season has a music festival, great walking, horse riding, tennis, golf, paragliding and rock climbing and is a perfect resort for families looking for an action packed holiday.
