Kindly note: for our guests we are offering half of the house (upper floor) only.
Our grandmother’s (we used to call her “Mo”) house is located in a seaside resort town Palanga on the west coast of Lithuania, well known for its lively spirit, clean sea and pristine beaches.
The wooden house is over 100 years old and represents an authentic architectural style typical of Palanga. To better accommodate our guests, its 4 rooms (accommodating 2 to 4 people each) were recently renovated – taking care to retain the house spirit and historical context.
2 rooms have their en-suite bathrooms whereas the other two share their bathroom. There is another toilet for guests' use in the summer house outside. The summer house is exclusively for guests' use - it has fully equipped kitchen, several tables and other amenities.
The location is very central, just off the popular pedestrian street Basanaviciaus which is brimming with restaurants and bars. It's also close to the main Vytautas street. It’s within minutes of walking from the best white-sand beaches, local amenities & most sightseeing, including parks, museums and the local market (for more tips and suggestions, see our guidebook).
The place has good connections and is easily reached by both public and private transport. The main bus station is 5 min away by taxi (1.6km), the closest train station is Kretinga (10km) and Klaipėda (25 km) which is also the main port city. Closest International airports: Palanga/Klaipėda PLQ 7km, Kaunas KUN 245km, Riga RIX 265km.
Despite central location, the place is usually quiet and peaceful. Yet on weekends or high season the main street buzz can be definitely heard.
