The Old Stable is a neatly converted former dairy, 1½ miles from the little village of Sidbury. The cottage has an upside down layout and can sleep four people in two bedrooms, a double and a twin each with its own en suite shower room. On the first floor, making the most of the super rural views is a lofty open-plan living space with a wood burning stove, neat fitted kitchen and French windows to the balustrade. To the side is an enclosed terrace and rough lawned garden with a table and chairs. The Old Stable is an ideal base from which to explore this lovely part of East Devon. Note: One well-behaved dog welcome at an additional charge of £25.00. Note: This property accepts Saturday arrivals only.

Perfectly quiet and we'll equipped
Great little cottage with everything you needed for a lovely week away. It's far enough away from the town to be dead quiet at all times, and only a short drive to Sidmouth, Seaton, brankscombe, honiton and Lyme Regis - towns and beaches. There is another rental property next door as well as the farm.

Lovely cottage in very peaceful position
My husband and I stayed at The Old Stable and used it as a base whilst visitng relatives. Lovely clean cottage with all amenities. Track was much worse than we expected and I think its description needs to be elaborated. Its quite long and VERY bumpy with many potholes. We used my 4 wheel drive so it wasn't a problem but I think owners of conventional cars may not be too happy. That said, the end result is a location that is really very peaceful and remote. Lovely log burner which warms the building up very quickly. We took our dog who loved it. I would say, however, that the garden is not fully dog proof. All that said we had a great week and would return - but not in my husbands car!!
