Gorgeous 3rd floor apartment with sea views, minutes from the beach and Marina

Marina Bay is a highly prestigious apartment complex which has 2 lovely pools and is directly overlooking and with direct access to the child friendly Cristo Beach. The 40m2 South West facing terrace overlooking the beach benefits from lots of sun and provides breathtaking views of the sea, Gibraltar and on a clear day North Africa. Just perfect for the sun-worshipper topping up their tan! The apartment is extremely well equipped & has a fully fitted kitchen with oven and hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge-freezer & washing machine. Air conditioning, sun screens and ceiling fans are fitted to keep you cool even on the hottest days and heating for winter stays is also provided at no extra cost. Secure underground parking is also provided if you hire a car. Estepona Marina with its traditional tapas and cafe bars and restaurants is only a 10 minute walk away and the lovely white walled town is also on the doorstep. All this makes a truly wonderful apartment in a stunning location!

Gibraltar: Only 35 minutes drive from Estepona (and on the local bus route), Gibraltar is a sunny VAT-free haven where you can find duty free bargains from electronic equipment & jewellery to leather & perfumes & haggling is encouraged! Make sure you don't miss the spectacular natural caverns of St. Michael's Caves or visit the Ape's Den, home to some of Gibraltar's famous Barbary Apes, the only free-to-roam primates in Europe. Watch out for monkey business as they can be mischievous and have been known to pick the occasional pocket looking for treats. The Dlophin Trip from the Marina is an excellent day out and very rarely are dolphins not seen.

Puerto Banus & Laguna Village: Puerto Banus is only 20 minutes drive away. It has a large number of designer stores including Versace and Armani. Perfect for millionaire spotting and you may also see a famous face or two in the marina as a number of Hollywood stars have summer homes there.

Laguna Village is a stunning high class shopping experience just 10 minutes drive away. Whether spending an extravagant day at the beach club, shopping in the designer stores or spending time in the luxurious bars and restaurants then Laguna Village is the ideal place.

Selwo Safari Park : Only 20 minutes drive away and on the public transport route, Selwo is ideal for the perfect family day out. The park is based on an African safari park and houses 2000 animals from giraffes to panthers in semi-wild conditions. Like Jurassic Park, large open sided lorries drive you through the various animal enclosures and up into the hills above Estepona. There are elephants, bears, hippos and so much more to see. In the summer, cover up as it can get very hot and there is not much shelter.

We have been letting guests stay in our apartments for over 10 years and like to think that we now know how to make our guests holidays a special experience; from the simple booking process, to providing detailed directions to the apartment, to the standard of the 'finish' of the apartments and the quality of the complementary welcome pack that we provide. It sounds easy but getting the little details just right is often the making of a stress free holiday.

Stunning view from the balcony!

This was our second visit to the apartment and it didn't disappoint. The location is great - easy access to the beach and a short walk to the port where there are lots of restaurants. The apartment is incredibly well equipped and in the hot summer weather, the air con is very welcome to keep you cool at night. There is an underground car park with an allocated parking space - again, particularly appreciative in the summer as it means you get into a cool car. It's a half hour drive to Gibraltar (a must for a visit), easy access to Casares (a pretty white washed town up in the hills) and great to walk to both the Sunday market at the port and the main Estepona market on a Wednesday. Going to the old town is a must - a lovely walk along the beachfront of Estepona gets you there - where there are plenty of restaurants to choose from. However, we would recommend the French restaurant right by the main complex entrance for dinner - but remember to book, it gets very busy! We will definitely return!!

Fabulous apartment and great location

Enjoyed a lovely week and this fabulous apartment. We were met on arrival and shown around and given good information about the area and places to go. The fridge and cupboard were stocked with necessities including bread, milk, eggs, teas and coffee etc. We were also left a bottle of wine, which we enjoyed on our first evening on the beautiful terrace. The view from there is just gorgeous. The apartment and terrace are well equipped with everything you need for a week or two in the sun. The communal pool, is down a level from the apartment, and can be viewed from the terrace.

We decided not to hire a car, and because of the location of the apartment it was not needed. We got the direct Airport bus from Malaga to Estepona and back. During our stay we caught the bus from nearby to Marbella (Puerto Banus) and in the other direction La Linea (for Gibraltar). There are shuttle buses to take you to the main bus station - which is now located a good bit out of the town, however a taxi from the taxi rank is also good value.

A visit to the Old town is a must, an easy 10 minute walk, or 15 minute stroll.

There are many lovely places to eat around the Marina and the bonus of having access to Cristo beach from the back gate of the Marina Bay apartments was brilliant.

All in all a wonderful trip, and we are already considering going back to stay in the same apartment.

Great location for a relaxing break!

From enquiry to booking, arrival to departure Andy was professional, efficient and very helpful. Andy provided a wealth of information about the apartment and Estepona before we arrived which made it all the simpler to start relaxing from the get go.

The journey from Malaga to Estepona is direct - the A7/E15 takes you all the way to Avenida del Carmen and from there it's a 5 minute drive to the apartments. Sue met us outside at exactly the time she said and within ten minutes we were inside and unpacking. We stayed in apartment B32 which has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, lounge/diner and large terrace. The apartment was left very clean and the welcome pack and offer to use anything in the kitchen was very nice.

The terrace is sunsoaked all day and the view of the Med is fantastic. The outside furniture is comfy as is the sofa inside when it gets too hot. The air con works very well.

Cristo beach is reached via the rear exit of the apartment complex and we could be on a beach lounger within 5 mins of leaving the apartment! The beach bar/restaurant (Havana Beach) does excellent food and of course, cold drinks. The sunloungers/parasols are 5 euro per day each.

We ate out most lunch times and evenings either at the beach or the Marina. We liked Halamon Bar for simple tapas. We liked El Cazador although the portions were very big and the menu a little limited. De La Mar above the Marina is a nice relaxing Dutch/English bar with good value tasty food. Le Briconnet del Puerto was nice too - right next to the water.

We ate in at the apartment a couple of times, first shopping at the massive Carrefour in east Estepona but after we found the SuperSol supermarket a few minutes walk across the road we didn't bother with anywhere else. Great little supermarket at good prices so not worth the trip through town.

We didn't venture far from the beach and Marina. We went to the Wednesday and Sunday market - fine for a stroll around. We walked into Estepona town a few times - a very nice clean and friendly place. By car we went to Gibraltar which took under an hour and Puerto Banus, 20 minutes in the other direction.

This trip sealed the deal. We've been to Spain many times over the years and this time decided that we will put down more permanent roots there. We'll be planning a fact finding trip in the winter and looking to invest sometime in 2017!

Great choice for our fist visit to Estepona

Just returned from a wonderful weeks stay in Estepona and would like to thank Andy & Beata for the use of their lovely apartment together with Sue for her kind assistance during our visit.

Apartment is in a great location close to all amenities and was spotlessly clean and decorated to a high standard and gave us that real homely feeling on arrival,

Whilst there is traffic noise as previousy mentioned sun terrace was a real bonus and much larger than expected and provided a great place to retreat on a couple of days when the wind whipped up on El Christo beach where Havana Beach bar served drinks,snacks and tasty lunches.

Had nice meals at Rosatti and El Cazador in the marina which is just a short stroll away however no walking involved to Le Petit Paris restaurant which is directly below the apartment. We had a fabulous meal here one evening and no worry about getting home should you have that one glass of wine too many.

Walked along the lovely promenade on a few occasions and up to the picturesque backstreets of Estepona where the white-washed houses are covered in colourful plants and flowers....a real treat.! Plenty on restaruants and tapa bars available and 7 euro in taxi back should you prefer this option when returning.

Overall a great stay, wish it could have been longer, and would certainly recommend this apartment to anyone.

Super apartment great location

This is a great apartment well maintained and equipped in an excellent location near to the marina with its great social life of bars and restaurants and Sunday market. Also adjacent to the Cristo beach. The town of Estepona is super with plenty of shops and old streets with cascading flower pots of colour. We are returning visitors to this apartment and have enjoyed our holidays there.

Lovely apartment in a great location.

A lovely apartment in a great location. 5 minutes walk to the Marina and a pleasant walk along the promenade or through the town to the centre. Position was very important to us as I don't like driving abroad and this was ideal. This was our first visit to Estepona and although we were there for a month I found there was plenty to do and explore without venturing further. We did visit Puerto Banus on the bus but much prefer Estepona.

The apartment had everything we needed, loads of books (so if weight is an issue don't worry about packing any, I use a kindle but my husband still has his books) cds, DVDs. Very close to the beach, down to floor 0 out by the pool and down the steps at the back across the bit of waste land to the beach. El Cristo beach has two beach bars with loungers, 7€ for two at the first one and 8€ at the furthest. We visited both and lunched at both. The terrace was amazing but (and this is the only reason I didn't give 5 stars) it was noisy from the traffic going by. But, it has comfy loungers, tables chairs and in spite of the traffic I still managed to doze off in the sun most afternoons. The sun comes round about 2 and disappears behind the adjacent block at around 6(in April). Ideal after a walk around town in the morning

I really felt at home in this apartment we had a very rainy couple days and we were quite happy to curl up on the comfy settee and watch TV, read books and I always take a jigsaw on long stays. Always plenty of hot water, really good showers, super large thick towels, beach towels also supplied.

I had trouble with the wifi, it lost the connection and I pressed the reset button and lost it altogether but we contacted Sue, who very promptly returned my call and Andy quickly got it sorted for us, sorry for the nuisance Andy, but it was nice to meet you.

We ate out most evenings and all restaurants we went to were good. A meal for two usually came to around 50€ with a bottle of wine, although you could eat for less than this if you wanted. We went to the ‘Wednesday market’ at the bullring, 5 minutes away. This was nothing more than a few car boot stalls, but if you go on this day you can get into the ring and also see the bull pens as well as visiting the museum afterwards. The museums are well worth a visit (closed on Mondays), no charge.

We had a wonderful holiday, fell in love with Estepona, had fun days trying to find and photograph all the murals and the lovely small parks with water features all around the

If you return in the future the larger Wednesday Market is found on Avenida Puerta del Mar which is the road just across from the Marina and has a large selection of fresh food stalls on the road market from fruit and veg to all sorts of spices, pickles, etc. It is a fantastic market and a huge assault on the senses! This apartment is ideally situated a short walk from both the Marina (250m) and the lovely Cristo Beach (50m). It is furnished in a modern but still comfortable style and is equipped to a high standard. With air-conditioning (and winter heating), two pools and a stunning, spacious terrace with sea views, you would struggle to find a better place to stay in Estepona.

Marina Bay is an easy five minute walk from the heart of Estepona's thriving marina and is ideally situated directly overlooking Cristo Beach which is a delightful oyster-shaped cove of sheltered, gently shelving sand making it ideal for children. The beach has been awarded EC Blue Flag status and in high season is manned by lifeguards. It also has well maintained toilet and shower facilities and a choice of two beach restaurants with a true Spanish feel. Within 5 minutes walk you will find several supermarkets and shops. Estepona Town is typically Spanish and has retained all of it's 'pueblo' charm even though it is a well established tourist destination. It has pleasantly managed to avoid a 'night club' culture but does have a wide variety of restaurants & cafe bars to chose from. Estepona, due to its natural environment, surrounded by the surrounded by the sea and Sierra Bermeja mountains, enjoys a micro climate providing over 325 days of sunshine per year and lovely mild winters!

This apartment was previously owned by friends of ours and after waiting seven years having 'first refusal' on the apartment if it was ever for sale we were lucky enough to be able to purchase it in 2010. We hope that once you see the apartment, the location and the huge terrace that you will agree it was worth our wait! The 40m2 terrace with this apartment is unlike any other we have seen and we have made sure that our guests can enjoy it fully by adding a glass wall so the sea views are uninterrupted, loungers for taking in the sun, a patio set perfect for al-fresco dining and suble lighting so you can stay out there even after the sun has set.
