Happy week in Ile de Re

The pros of this property: The apartment is well furnished and very clean, lots of utensils (including washing machine), very close to the centre of Saint Martin so great for eating out etc. Car parking and bike storage is great especially given location. Swimming pool nice to use on hot days. Host was very responsive and gave a very helpful tour on arrival. Cons: No terrace / outside space, access to swimming pool is via street so you can't watch your children in the pool from the apartment. During the week in August we stayed, you could hear the music from the night club on the other side of the car park late into the night. It was not super loud and ear plugs fix it but nevertheless it was there..

Bien situé mais …

Appartement très bien situé dans une des plus belle ville de l’île de ré. Belles animations, très pratique pour faire ses courses à pied, et pour rayonner à vélo sur l’ensemble de l’île. Place de parking privée et local individuel à vélo en sous-sol très appréciables. Le point négatif est la nuisance sonore liée à la proximité du restaurant disco le Bastion. Musique jusqu’à 3h00 du matin et sortie des occupants extrêmement bruyante voire violente juste en dessous de nos fenêtres. Les volets et fenêtres fermés ne suffisent pas à atténuer le bruit. Si vous avez le sommeil très profond, ou si vous faites vous même la fête, ou si vous venez hors saison, j’imagine que ces inconvénients sont gommés.

Lärm, fantastische Ortschaft, sicherer Parkplatz, Mängel müssen innert 12 h gemeldet werden

Die Ortschaft ist fantastisch. Das Objekt bietet einen sicherern Garageparkplatz. Ich habe die Reise abgebrochen wegen Discolärm - suchte einen ruhigen Urlaub. Mängel müssen innert 12 Stunden direkt an die Agentur gemeldet werden, ansonsten erhält man keine Unterstützung! Agentur nur mit grossem Zeitaufwand erreichbar und technisch kompliziert (nicht funktionieren der Telefonanlage, Chat ebenfalls Zeitaufwändig, Unterlagen werden angefordert, jedoch keine Antwort mehr erhalten.

Appartement bien équipé mais déçu par l'emplacement

L'appartement est parfaitement équipé. Rien ne manque. Propriétaire très sympatique qui nous a fournit beaucoup d'informations sur l'île de Ré, sur St Martin ..... Belle Piscine dans la résidence, avec une pataugeoire (accès en ressortant sur la Rue car le logement ne donne pas sur la piscine). Port, boutiques et restaurants très facilement accessibles, en 5 minutes à pied. Vous pouvez pratiquement tout faire soit à pied, soit en vélo. Place de parking privative en sous-sol pour la voiture (important car il est vite très compliqué de se garer à St Martin de Ré où la majorité des parkings sont payants) + local privé pour garer les vélos. Deux bémols : - L'appartement donne sur la rue et sur un parking, ce qui induit du passage tout au long de la journée : piétons, vélos, voitures, livreurs ... (même si ce n'est pas une autoroute) - En face de l'appartement, il y a le restaurant bar club "Le Bastion", à priori, une véritable institution sur l'ile de Ré. Après de longs mois de fermeture (suite au COVID), l'établissement a ré-ouvert quelques temps avant notre venue. (la propriétaire nous avait informé, mais malheureusement trop tard pour pouvoir modifier nos vacances) Cette ré-ouverture a pour conséquence des nuisances sonores sur les fins de semaine (du jeudi soir au samedi soir inclus) avec de la musique très forte, jusqu'à 2h30-3h sur les 2 semaines de juillet 2022 où nous étions présents. (même avec les fenêtres et volets fermés) Nous déconseillons le logement aux familles avec des jeunes enfants pendant la période estivale ; il sera plus adapté aux noctambules de tout âge durant cette période.
