Light & airy, fully refurbished alpine self-catering apartment

The Haute Nendaz area is ski-linked to Verbier and has 410km of pistes. 4 double bedroom luxury duplex apartment, sleeps 8 adults and 2 children. Perfect for winter skiing or summer holiday rental. In a quiet location overlooking the Rhone Valley, the property has 2 bathrooms, a separate cloakroom and large balconies to all rooms. Close to the shops and telecabine, the apartment has been furnished to a very high standard. The bathrooms and cloakroom are tiled in natural stone. The new kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and there are many bars and restaurants in the nearby town centre - local chasse (game), Italian, Thai, French and two pizza takeaways. In the heart of the 4 Valleys ski area with 100 km of beautiful Bisse walks along ancient waterways in the summer. The town has banks, supermarkets, bakers, butchers, chemist, clothing and sports shops. Our guests may use two 4-person ski lockers at the Telecabine, and will receive 10% discount at a central ski school/hire shop.

Booking conditions: No all-male large groups please. No smoking inside the apartment.

A pet may be permitted - please request.

Please note that arrivals are after 4pm, and departures must be no later than 10am - this is to ensure that there is adequate time for our housekeeper to clean and prepare the apartment between guests.

A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to secure the booking, then the balance plus a refundable £300 damage deposit is required 6 weeks before arrival. Any bookings taken within 6 weeks of arrival to be paid in full, and all monies to be cleared before arrival.

Ski hire & lift passes: Skis and boots are not permitted in the apartment - there is a ski store situated inside near the main front entrance of Le Cret. There are several good sports shops in Haute Nendaz for hiring all ski and sports equipment. They will also sharpen and wax your own skis/boards for a small charge. The shop we use kindly permits kit to be returned by 10.30am the day after the hire period - perfect for last minute runs!

Our guests have free use of two 4-person ski lockers at the Telecabine, plus 10% discount on ski lessons, ski and mountain bike hire. Lift passes may be purchased from the main Telecabine office. These are available by the day, week, or season. They cover the local Nendaz or Printze ski areas, or the entire 4 Valleys Grand Domain. A photograph will be taken at the ticket office by digicam - no need to provide passport photos. Haute Nendaz has very good ski schools for group or private tuition. Guiding and heliskiing can also be arranged.

Snow-shoe equipment provided: Provided for the use of our guests are 8 sets of Tubbs Wilderness snow-shoe kits. Top quality Canadian snow-shoes, telescopic poles, and a handy backpack per person. There are 4 sets of shoes suitable for gents, and 4 sets suitable for ladies/children.

There are many kms of well-marked snow-shoe trails in the area - the nearest begins just a short walk away near the radio antenna, and runs for 6km across open fields, through a wooded area, and round the antenna itself. Once you've found your 'snow feet', there is a beautiful 3km trail that runs from Siviez right up to Tortin where a restaurant serves great snacks and meals. The snow-show trails are all clearly marked in the Haute Nendaz locale, and maps are provided in the apartment.

Haute Nendaz is a thriving Valais town in the Swiss Alps, situated at 1500m on a sunny plateau only 90 minutes by train or car from Geneva. Close to the historic old town of Sion, the resort is a perfect base for skiing the 400km of 4 Valleys pistes accessed via the large telecabine, or walking the 100km of ancient beautiful Bisse waterways in summer. Other sports include mountain biking, tennis, swimming in the local heated pool, and snowshoeing or ice skating in the winter. There is a championship golf course in Sion, and another in Verbier. The mountain villages of Siviez, Veysonnaz, and Haute Nendaz are linked by paths, roads and pistes. Free ski buses run round Haute Nendaz in winter and to Siviez, and there are frequent buses running between Sion and the local villages. Perfect for families or groups alike, there are many good restaurants, bars, supermarkets and sports hire shops. The scenery in this area of Valais is truly stunning, with panoramic vistas at every turn.

  • The downstairs bathroom contains a white WC, a full size enamel bath with shower, a double illuminated mirrored cabinet, white double basins with steel and glass cupboards beneath. This bathroom and the next door cloakroom are tiled with cream limestone tiles, and floor tiled in the honey limestone that runs throughout the kitchen and dining/living areas. The cloakroom has a WC, single white basin and illuminated cabinet. The upstairs shower room is wall tiled in white marble, with a black granite floor. There is a WC, a single white basin with illuminated mirror above, and steel and glass cupboards beneath. Large white Egyptian cotton bath sheets, bath towels and bathrobes are provided for each guest. Organic hand-made soap bars are also provided. There are 3 lavatories in total to prevent any queueing. The hydro-electric generated water pressure is very very good - the showers are practically power-showers in their own right! Unlimited hot water is available at all times.

  • Bedrooms 1 and 2 contain two 3' beds which can be arranged as doubles if required. Bedroom 3 contains two 3'6'' large single beds, plus a 2'6'' bed on a galleried area above with another on a separate mezzanine which are suitable for children and teenagers. There are no bunk beds or sofa beds. 1 Bloom baby cot is provided with organic mattress and linen. The luxurious medium/firm mattresses are organic, and extra-deep pocket sprung. The bedlinen is high quality cotton, and the pillows are hypo-allergenic. The luxury duvets are down & feather. All bedrooms have balconies, and are carpeted in cream wool. There are bedside tables, mirrors and deco lamps. Each bedroom has a hair-dryer, and there are white towelling bathrobes and slippers for all guests. The double wardrobes contain plentiful wooden hangers. Each bed has vintage Durham, eiderdown or candlewick quilts for extra comfort. The curtains and Velux-blinds are lined with white-out fabric so lie-ins are possible.

  • This large duplex apartment is 160m2 in total - 120m2 living space with 40m2 of balconies. A Netbook is provided for guests use - if guests wish to bring their own laptop, login details will be provided. The apartment has free wireless broadband. Large HD TV plus a Wii. There are many games to enjoy - Twister, Trivial Pursuit, dominoes, jigsaws, chess, backgammon, Monopoly and several card decks. The DVD movie collection runs to 210+ films, there are dozens of paperbacks to read too, plus an iPod docking station. 2 Bloom Nano high chairs are provided (6 months - 3 years old), plus a Bloom Alma cot suitable for newborns to 12 months. There is a hair-dryer provided in each bedroom, plus bathrobes & slippers for each guest. The apartment building has a portable ramp for the front steps, and a lift. Pets - please ask. No smoking inside the apartment. The private car park has one allocated parking space. The basement laundry room contains a large washing machine and a large tumble drier
