Countryside paradise
From the moment we booked, Jez and Lou were friendly, accomodating and great to communicate with. The cottage was gorgeous, extremely clean and very well equipped. We had everything we could possibly need, even a full cream tea left for us to get started in style. The pool was amazing, Jez the farmer was very friendly, giving our daughter a chance to get up close to the animals every morning which she absolutely loved. She even got a certificate at the end of our stay for "helping". They really think of every little detail. It's a great base for exploring Cornwall and returning to the absolute quiet of the farm every evening was lovely. It really was a very quiet place, so peaceful. Even the animals were quieter than expected. We will definitely be returning.

Simply Fantastic
This was the first time we had stayed at a property with the host also being on-site but Jez and Lou were excellent. Never intrusive but always on hand for a chat etc... We spent 2 amazing weeks on the farm. Our kids 12 & 9 loved feeding the animals everyday especially Smokey the sheep. The Pool is amazing and kept to a nice temperature - We were the only ones in it most times. Location is ideal for exploring north Cornwall. We visited Bude, Widemouth Bay, Tintagel, Port Isaac, Newquay, Bodmin and Land's End. Next time we visit Cornwall Jez & Lou's place will be high up our wish list.

Amazing place
This is truly a hidden gem. The cottage was spotlessly clean, the swimming pool was amazing and the hosts were very very welcome. We will definitely come back.

Lovely spot, well appointed cottage.
The cottage was one of the nicest we have stayed in. Well layed out and spacious for two. Modern and stylish but in keeping with its surroundings. The pool was beautifully warm and we enjoyed swimming most days.

clean, modern, rustic, not too far from sea
With so many great places in Cornwall, we were looking for a place fairly central from which to explore, and with either a hot tub or swimming pool. It would be hard to find anywhere more perfect for that than Coombe Farm Cottages. Crackington Haven is probably the nearest beach, only about 20 mins drive away, with stunning coastal walks where you can see seals, Puffins and Peregrine Falcons, and has amazing views. The cottages are situated in an idyllic country setting with zero noise and light pollution, and is only 5-10 mins from the main A30 route, which is the best road for exploring the south of Cornwall. We spent days in St Ives, St Agnes, Fowey, Eden Project, Chapel Porth Beach (highly recommend this for surfers) as well as Bude, all easily accessible for day trips. The cottage we stayed in was Morvoren, the most private of the four cottages and idea for a couple. It has a very cosy rustic country feel to it but with all the mod cons including washing machine and dishwasher and two TVs. We never felt the need to use the wood burner as the underfloor heating was just right, but I’m sure that would be well used in the winter. Everything was clean, comfortable and well maintained, and nearly everything one would want or need was thought of. We has a wonderful relaxing holiday, but don’t feel we have even touched the surface with what Cornwall has to offer. Loved being amongst the animals and we will definitely return again.

We moved to the farm in 2013, and haven't looked back. We love the peaceful location of the farm, and the fact that it is so accessible that you can be back on the A30 in 5 minutes and explore all the lovely places there are to find in Cornwall.

Why they chose this property

Coombe Farm is a rural location of safety and peace. It is an ideal place to relax and chill out, yet a super convenient spot for exploring North Cornwall, and even South Cornwall. The heated pool is very popular, boasting temperatures of 30 degrees it is hard to drag yourself out. When you do, however, it is well worth it and there are so many fantastic places to explore. To name a few these include; Tintagel, Boscastle, Eden Project, Trebarwith Strand Beach, Widemouth Bay, Crackington Haven, surfing at Polzeath, rock pooling, fishing for crabs, climb Roughtor on Bodmin Moor, Port Isaac, and much more depending on what you are into. There is lots for everyone!

What makes this property unique

Sibyback Cottage:
Outside BBQ, the private patio area is a total sun trap, steps up to communal play area, rural views over farm fields, peaceful, close to heated swimming pool, feed the animals daily with Farmer Jez.
