Built in 1803, Sunnyside Barn @ Bempton has been refurbished to a very high standard and retains many of its original features and charm. Much of the house has solid oak flooring and beams with exposed ‘A’ frame and chalk walls. The bedrooms and lounge have floor to ceiling oak French doors for that ‘living inside/outside’ feeling.
Large private and secure garden and patio with dining area and sunbeds.
Additional amenities; Fully equipped kitchen with Dishwasher, microwave, freezer, range cooker etc. 50" smart flat screen TV / high speed WIFI , hairdryer, dining area with table and chairs inside and outside and 4x USB charging sockets.
Highchair, travel cot, baby stair gates top & bottom of stairs, toy box.

Neighborhood overview- The Barn is situated in the quiet village of Bempton and is an ideal location for visiting the surrounding country side, spectacular beaches and coastline. You can stroll out direct from the house on many circular walks. Cliff-top and coastal walks can be easily accessed via a 1 mile walk/cycle/drive to the RSPCA bird sanctuary at Bemptons towering chalk cliffs for breath taking views. Conveniently placed on the tip of the Yorkshire Wolds for Flamborough head and the lighthouse, North and South landing and numerous secret smugglers caves and bays for bird and seal watching. Further local attractions include Sewerby Park, Danes Dyke, Bridlington Bay/Harbour and Royal Yorkshire Yacht Club sailing events and pleasure cruises of all shapes and sizes. A weeks full of attractions are all a walk, cycle ride, or short drive away.
The barn is a stone’s throw away from the village pub. There is also a useful corner shop /post office, antique shop and a lovely duck pond with picnic area.

New Year Break

Relaxing stay in a lovely property. Owner was very communicative and helpful. I know the area very well and was revisiting old stamping grounds. It didn’t disappoint .

A real gem!

A beautifully presented property which was really well equipped both inside and in the garden. We were 3 generations and we all found both the house and garden very spacious and relaxing to sit in. The location was excellent allowing us easy access to beaches, Sewerby Hall and Gardens, which had lots of activities for children, Flamborough Head Lighthouse and RSPB Bempton. We really enjoyed walking along the cliffs and admiring the seabirds and the distant views. We had a lovely meal at The North Star which had the traditional sweet trolley to the delight of us all. There is so much to do that we will happily return. Our host generously left some goodies. She was really easy to communicate with and she provided lots of helpful information. We all had a great holiday.

Just lovely

Really great well equipped holiday let in a quiet village handy for the coast. The house and garden are lovely. Lisa is a great host and the welcome goodies (and dog treats) were very much appreciated. The kitchen is well stocked with essentials (coffee, tea, salt, pepper, cooking oil, ketchup etc) and equipment. Lisa provided lots of helpful information about things to do and eating out. Just a note until the website gets updated - there isn't a bbq. Not a problem, just so you know!

I like to stay fit and enjoy; running, yoga, horse riding, swimming in the sea (North Sea = wetsuit) ! and walking as often as possible. I love the fresh air and being outside - whether its drinking wine and taking in a great view or hiking and looking forward to a great glass of wine !
Life is for enjoying; travelling as often as possible, having new experiences and spending time with friends and family. Oh - and working hard as a Design Teacher to enjoy the above !
