Looking for an island escape? This refurbished colonial-style house on Caye Caulker will make your tropical vacation exactly how it's supposed to be!

Sitting in a new residential area near the heart of Caye Caulker, you'll be within walking distance from the bars and restaurants on the island, plus just a short boat ride from mainland Belize, where you can see Mayan ruins and tropical jungles! The steps up to the entryway of the bright house end at a shaded veranda, with a small breakfast table and a pair of hammocks for chilling in style. Inside, you'll find the living room with plush furniture, which is great for relaxing or reading a book. Beyond the furniture is a dining table that will seat six for a family dinner, plus a highchair if you bring along a little one. The kitchen may have a rustic charm, but it has all the amenities you need to make your favorite dishes, including a full-size fridge and oven.

There are three bedrooms and two full baths, making this rental suitable for up to six people. Each bedroom features a queen-size bed in a bright setting made cozy by the polished wood floors. A/C units in each of the rooms keep them cool, but you might prefer a cold shower in either of the bathrooms. This house is perfect for a family or a group of friends - go scuba diving or snorkeling at the marvelous Belize Barrier Reef for some of the best diving in the world, or try windsurfing above the long sandbar. Slow-paced days are best spent lounging at the split at the Lazy Lizard, the Kuko King, or Sip and Dip.

Very little water pressure. Shower sprinkled. The outdoor deck was rotting and had dangerous railings. Inside was clean & comfortable.

Nice quiet location

This was a good spot doe a family. It's in a quieter neighborhood so you can relax and sleep at night. The ac in the rooms worked well and we really needed that as it was extra hot that week. Kitchen was adequate for cooking and clean water was provides. The bathrooms are nice. All and all a great spot. Oh we had a golf cart and that was great for traveling the island.

Decent place

This place was pretty nice. It was hot in the main living area due to a lack of air conditioning. But it was nice to have a/c in the bedrooms. The kitchen was decently stocked and the beds were pretty comfortable. The place was nice and clean. I didn’t like that there was no covering on the bathroom windows at all which gives neighbors a clear view of you while you’re in there. There was no way to hang a towel or anything so I put some magazines on the ledge to block part of the view. Some of the house was run down and there was a leak in the ceiling near the kitchen during a large rainstorm. You have neighbors on 3 sides and a wall of greenery across the road on the front side of the house. It was next to a police barracks so hopefully that adds to the safety of the place. (We never felt unsafe, just to be clear.) It’s not super close to town - about a 10-15 minute walk. We didn’t look at the prices ourselves but the taxi driver told us a golf cart rental for the week would be around $150. She charged $5/person when she took us to the house when we arrived. You can also rent bikes but we chose to walk. Overall this place was pretty nice but I think I would choose someplace else if we come back.

Caye caulker

The place was easy to find. It was a little far away from restaurants, the beach, etc. But there is information provided for bike rentals. We were able to text on what's app and got bikes delivered and picked up. The air conditioning in the rooms worked well. The pictures did show blankets in the bedrooms, but there was only one provided in the main room. It would have been nice to have them in all the rooms as pictured. Make sure to bring your own beach towels as well. Overall it was a good stay.
