4 bedroom, 3 bathroom chalet with terrace and fabulous Mont Blanc views
Chalet des Lupins was built 12 years ago in a traditional chalet style with a contemporary feel including double height living space to take advantage of the wonderful views.
The main entrance is at garden level with a double height hallway, opening into a light and airy living area with log burner. The open plan space leads to the dining area and kitchen, with breakfast bar and walk-in larder with plenty of storage. Double height windows give fabulous views of the Bossons glacier, Aiguille du Midi and Mont Blanc itself. Sliding glass doors open onto a large deck and onto a mature, level garden. There is also a separate WC at this level.
On the first floor there are 2 bedrooms, one with a balcony with views of Brévent, the other overlooking the garden plus a family bathroom.
There is a 2nd entrance on the drive level. This opens into a hallway with storage. There are 2 bedrooms at this level, one with an ensuite shower room and the master with a large ensuite with stand alone bath and large shower. There is another room at this level with a washing machine, tumble dryer and and storage for ski clothes and boots.
The driveway is shared with the adjacent chalet (also available to rent) and has external parking for 2/3 cars per chalet.
The nearest supermarket is Marche U (500 metres) with Chamonix's main supermarket, Carrefour, a very short drive away. There are a couple of restaurants and bars within 500 metres (the Jekyll, l'Impossible restaurant), but the main choices are in the town centre which is no more than a 15 minute walk to the very centre, many options being closer than this.
For access to the skiing, the nearest is Brévent, just to the north of Chamonix centre. The main bus stop is a 6 minute walk so, like most chalets in Chamonix, a car makes things easier.
Skiing and snowboarding: Chamonix is one of the world's most famous ski areas, having hosted the first Winter Olympics in 1924. Skiers and snowboarders of all levels are well-served in a variety of differing areas around Chamonix, including Brevent, Flegere, the famous Grands Montets and Domaine du Balme. The Mont Blanc pass also covers nearby areas including Les Houches, St Gervais, Megeve, Courmayeur and Les Contamines, all within an easy drive. Slightly further afield, but within an hour's drive are Verbier, La Thuile, Flaine and Les Carroz. Despite its reputation as an area for experts only, there are plenty of green, blue and red runs to satisfy beginners and intermediates alike. For the more experienced, Chamonix has miles and miles of adventurous off-piste, including the famous Vallee Blanche, an 18km experience from the Aiguille du Midi down to the town.
Summer and the rest of the year: With the draw of Europe's premier natural attraction, Mont Blanc, Chamonix never sleeps. Whether it's simply to soak up the stunning scenery or get the adrenaline pumping, there is plenty for everybody to do all year round. There are a wide variety of marked trails for hiking and trekking; well-maintained bolted routes for rock-climbing; limitless mountaineering opportunities including Mont Blanc itself; an ever-expanding network of mountain bike trails; some of the most consistent thermals for superb para gliding; raging white water rapids for rafting and hydro speeding; canoing and abseiling down the spectacular valley gorges; golf at the Trent Jones Sr designed 18 hole course in Chamonix, as well as many other top quality courses nearby; a sports centre with an indoor and outdoor 50m swimming pool and a large grassed sunbathing area, water slides, numerous tennis courts, gym, spa, jacuzzi. The list goes on!

Property Manager: Based in Chamonix since 2004, Mountain Base is a fully registered French business run by Andy, Andie and Matt. We are one of the only British run businesses in Chamonix to hold the Carte Professionnelle (no. 1497/07), which obliges us to maintain a Garantie Financière (cash bond) against which all our clients are financially protected. During the years, we have built up one of the largest rental portfolios in the Valley, from studios to large chalets, from les Houches to le Tour. Our team and partners are the best in the Valley and are here to make sure your stay is an enjoyable, memorable and hassle free experience.

Our office is in central Chamonix, so we are on hand to advise you throughout your stay and organise any little extras that you need. Activity and Interests
Blaitière is situated just to the south-east of the town centre, adjacent to the 'les Planards' nursery slopes, on Chemin de la Cascade. It is 450 metres on foot to Avenue Michel Croz, the start of the main shopping streets in Chamonix.
The nearest supermarket is Casino in the town centre (650 metres) or Garage du Betty (same distance), which will soon become a Carrefour Extra store. There are a couple of restaurants and bars within 200 metres, but the main choices are in the town centre.
For access to the skiing, the nursery slopes of les Planards are a short walk away. For the main ski areas, the nearest is Brévent, just to the north of Chamonix centre, 1500 metres away (3-4 minutes by car or bus). The nearest bus stop is 200 metres away at Gare du Montenvers, with the main train station 450 metres away.
Golf: There are several good quality golf courses in the local area, including Evian (venue for the European Masters), Esery and Bossey as well as several other mountain courses, all within an hour's drive. However, Chamonix has its own golf club, 5 km to the east of the town centre, in les Praz. The 18 hole course was designed by the world famous Robert Trent Jones Senior in setting between the Mont-Blanc range and the massif of the Aiguilles rouges. There can't be many courses in the world with views to rival the Chamonix course.
Green fees vary from low to high season and booking is possible from 24 hours in advance.
