Guestbook comments from the owner

I now stayed several times in Chalet Tomeley, mostly with friends as well as by my self. Every time I return Leysin I am delighted with the beauty of this village and with the comfort of this wonderful chalet.

The view from the chalet is breathtaking and its accommodation was very clean upon our arrival. This chalet is well equipped and has some luxury advantages, i.e. a private sauna. The bedrooms are extremely comfortable. Everything is decorated with care and is so tastefully done that it is not just a Chalet, it actually fells like home. The Chalet is absolutely perfect!

The shops are walking distance to the village and there is an excellent bakery nearby. Ski rentals and lifts are very close. There is a wide range of restaurants in the village and on the mountain. The area offers a great variety of activities. In winter it’s great skiing, almost all year around you can hike the area and in summer you can experience wine tasting in the valley. I cannot recommend this Chalet highly enough - you'll have a great time there all season. We will definitely be back!

Leysin, located on a terrace at an altitude of 1264 metres above sea level, is a high mountain village in the French-speaking part of Switzerland. In addition to affording fantastic views of the Mont Blanc range, Dents du Midi and Diablerets Leysin is an attractive family holiday world. Leysin is famous for its unique climate, claiming to be the sunniest Swiss village.

The charming village in the Vaud Alps, is accessible from Aigle by a classic rack-railway or by car via Aigle on the A9 motorway. There are fast train connections to Geneva city, Geneva Airport and south to Italy. Villars, Château d'Oex, Gstaad, Lake Geneva, Vevey, Montreux, and Lausanne are close by.

The excursion possibilities to the Lower Valais and Lake Geneva are varied: Aigle with its medieval castle and Wine and Vine Museum, the salt mines of Bex, a cruise on Lake Geneva. Many of Switzerland's finest wines are produced in the neighbouring vineyards. There are excellent restaurants.

Other Activities: Via Ferrata, climbing walls, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, tobogganing, sports centres

Golf: Golfclub Montreux

Route d'Evian 54

CH-1860 Aigle

The course is situated on a park-like, completely even terrain with magnificent trees and lush vegetation. Trees time and time again interfere in the game. Doglegs, modulated greens and well-placed bunkers demand a strategic game. The panorama on the Dents du Midi and the Alps of Savoyen underline the harmonic location.

Ski: The Leysin ski fields with their 60km of pistes are suitable for all categories of skier and are especially popular with youngsters and families. At altitudes varying from 1300 to 2200m and with snow guaranteed by the permanent snow canons, Leysin is quite often host to important sporting events (Champs open, GiantX Tour,…).

From the village centre, Leysin’s ski fields are reached by taking either the Berneuse cable car or the Aï 4-man chairlift.

Leysin's ski domain offers the complete package. Its comprehensive set-up means that everybody can enjoy and make the most out of their favourite sliding sport. Beginners can start out either at Plan-Praz (upper village) or at the Daille (bottom village) as well at the top of the Berneuse where each site is equipped with a mini ski-lift or tow. The Snowpark and the permanent ski cross piste at the foot of the Chaux de Mont, as well as the slalom course are as big a hit with amateurs as they are with the professionals.

That. View.

  • 5 of 5

This is definitely the house with the best view ever. Comfortable, clean, complete and close to skiing-area. After skiing, there is plenty of room for a cozy evening in the kitchen or by the fireplace, or warming up and relaxing in the sauna. Oh, and did I mention the view?

Great stay near lake Geneva

  • 5 of 5

If your looking for a location where you can combine outdoor, fantastic scenery, culture, cities and monumental mountains in a view i suggest go check it out for yourself.

First time for myself going to Swiss and purpose of the travel was getting a good few days off with flexibility to go everywhere and also to experience and see alot.

The location of the chalet is just outstanding.

Placed on a ridge near the city centre of Leysin you open the frontdoor and stare trough the massive windows to the diablerets on the left and the dente the midi on the right.

What a luxery!

In the house all facilities are available, nice kitchen, great living room and enough space in the bedrooms. All clean and well maintenenced.

On 5 min walk you find all you need in the small centre of Leysin, when you go down the mountain you can visit the fantastic winefields near the lake geneva and cities like montreux and vevey.

On the left you can travel to the city centre of gstaad what actually is pretty fun between the rich and famous.

For ourselves we came here also for some outdoor activities and we managed to hike several days for multiple hours in this outstanding enviroment. When your into cyling i can say the roads are really well and not busy outside the weekends.

Happy to go back in the future.

Amazing chalet, surroundings & weather

  • 5 of 5

One of the best holidays we experienced, the chalet was very well organized, furnished, cleaned & located. It was wonderful summer from all aspects. We were family of 9 people from 15- 60 years old, all of us enjoyed the stay. This is the best accommodation we have ever lived during holidays, it is more than 5 stars chalet.

All supported facilities were around and it is suitable for walking, cycling & driving.

Sincere love & thanks for Kettey and Marcel for thier great cooperation and behavior. We felt that we were at home. Thanks for your warm welcome, gentle attitude and professional communication.

We will back sooooooooon 😃
