About this property

Luxury villa; private heated pool hottub gym, amazing views, perfect for sharing

Few panoramic views can rival the breathtaking vistas from the terraces of The Pučišća Houses on the serene island of Brač. These luxurious new builds gracefully perch on the hillsides of Pučišća, offering an unspoiled paradise for travelers. Gaze across the crystalline waters of the Adriatic Sea towards the majestic mountain range towering above Split, or turn to witness the sun setting, casting a gentle pink hue on the dazzling white stone village of Pučišća.

Meticulously designed, the villas bask in the warm Mediterranean sun while allowing a cool breeze to flow through their living spaces, providing ample shade for those seeking it. These contemporary abodes cleverly incorporate the famous white Brač stone, the same material that graces its renowned counterpart, The White House in Washington. Adorned with thoughtfully positioned terraces adorned with native plants and trees, the villas blend seamlessly with the landscape, offering guests a splendid vantage point at any hour. If The White House isn't available for your vacation dates, you can explore its nearby sibling, The Glass House, just a stone's throw away.

The Villa:
The White House, conceived as our family retreat, boasts a unique and stylish decor that radiates uncluttered elegance. It serves as a sanctuary for those in search of peace and tranquility, all while featuring modern conveniences befitting a villa of such exquisite beauty. The villa's generous layout comfortably accommodates a sizable group of guests. With two kitchens, three reception rooms, and a variety of terraces, large and small, one can choose between mingling with fellow travelers or escaping into a good book, depending on one's mood. Each bedroom is thoughtfully designed to exude serenity and features an individually styled en-suite bathroom equipped with a hairdryer. All bedrooms come equipped with a flat-screen TV and separate air-conditioning units, allowing guests to personalize their indoor climate.

The Top Floor:
The top level showcases an elegant kitchen fully equipped to prepare delightful meals, leading into a dining room and lounge area complete with a fireplace. From here, you can access the main balcony, terraces, open-air kitchen, and the pool.

The Second Floor:
The second floor accommodates four bedrooms and a media room with a flat-screen TV, sofa, and beanbags for your comfort. Each bedroom opens up to an outdoor terrace, with one leading to the 'Piazza,' two sharing a balcony, and the fourth bedroom connected to a walkway leading to the upper terraces.

The Bottom Floor:
The lower level serves as the entrance to the house from the gated parking area, featuring a spacious hallway. It also includes a fully equipped kitchen and a lounge/dining area that opens onto a small terrace. Additionally, this floor houses two bedrooms and a cloakroom. The gym and laundry room are also conveniently located here.

Outdoors:
The outdoor living spaces consist of terraces at various levels, some large enough to accommodate the entire group, while others encourage more intimate gatherings. The top story of the villa, a sun deck, is reserved for sun worshippers, with the large Jacuzzi providing a moment of respite. From here, the view of the sea and the village below is truly awe-inspiring. The main terrace is home to a heated pool with the same unobstructed views. Behind the house, an open-air kitchen with a sizable BBQ and a pizza oven promotes a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor living. At the front of the villa, a spacious balcony offers ample room for all guests to enjoy a meal together.

The Village:
The charming village of Pučišća, voted one of Europe's most picturesque, is just a five-minute stroll away through narrow cobbled streets. Here, the warmth of local hospitality is sure to enchant you, and the absence of crowds will bring you immense delight. Family-run shops, bars, and konobas (restaurants) cater to a variety of tastes, all exuding the island's unique charm. The sea is just a stone's throw away, and the village boasts three public beaches, with plenty of secluded spots along the coastline for those seeking a tranquil escape. You can rent boats, book boat excursions, or simply explore the coastline, all conveniently arranged through the local tourist office. Bol, with its renowned 'Golden Horn' beach, is a short bus ride away, and the picturesque harbor towns of Milna and Supetar are easily reachable by bus or car.

Getting There:
The nearest airport is Split airport, and the journey, including a 50-minute car ferry crossing, takes roughly two hours. Zadar airport is an additional hour away, and Dubrovnik airport is 1 ½ hours further. Airport transfers by boat (45 minutes) can be arranged. The house is located on Brac Island, and the car ferry regularly departs from Split ferry terminal to SUPETAR, the capital of Brac. The ferry schedule can be found with Jardrolinija. A local bus service departs from the village center, approximately 500 meters from the villa

Amazing Villa
I knew I had picked a nice villa online with Vrbo however the views are something else. You will never get tired sitting at the dining table watching the boats and swimmers go by hearing the church bells in the distance! The village itself is stunning and has plenty to offer with amazing restaurants, bars, shops and delicious ice cream! A bit of a hike back to the villa but certainly worth it for the wonderful views. Tina the host was amazing and helped us book a few days out. Cezar the taxi was amazing always turned up on time and gave us some advice on places to visit. If he couldn’t make it he lined other taxi drivers up for us. We all had the most amazing time and we were all blown away by this beautiful villa and what Pucisca had to offer! Thanks Nicola for all your help and advice before we travelled. Sad to be home but lots of fond memories to treasure! We will definitely be back!

A stunning villa
We (family group of 10 adults) stayed at the White House for 10 nights and had a fantastic time. The villa is absolutely stunning -excellently equipped and spacious with plenty of space for people to all be together or to find a spot for a bit of quiet time. Prior to the trip, Nicola was incredibly helpful providing lots of local insight and assisted with sorting transfers to Brac from Split airport. Cezar’s taxis collected us, took us onto the ferry and drove to the villa which all worked brilliantly and allowed us to sit back and relax from the moment we stepped off the plane. Jerka, the housekeeper was an absolute star and did everything possible to not only keep the house in top shape but also helped with restaurant booking and boat trips. Pucisca is beautiful and with the amazing views from the villa, we spent many happy hours watching the boats coming and going. The village has several coffee spots, bars and restaurants as well as a couple of supermarkets. There is a BBQ, pizza oven as well as the very well-equipped kitchen which together with the most amazing views meant that we chose to spend nearly all our evenings at the villa. We had an incredible holiday and would thoroughly recommend a stay here (we would come back in a heartbeat) Book it now - you wont regret it!

Everything was perfect
We had the most wonderful stay in The White House. For context, there were 16 of us altogether (9 adults and 7 children under the age of 6), and we couldn’t have asked for anything more. Nicola was so incredibly helpful from start to finish. She helped us organise transfers, food shopping for our arrival, the set up of the children’s beds, restaurant recommendations, she also had recommendations for a masseuse and boat trips in case we needed it. As you can imagine, our trip required a lot of organisation and Nicola was so, so helpful. The villa itself is incredibly beautiful, and so perfectly laid out. It has large social areas for people to eat /sit together, but there are also enough nooks to get away and read a book / sunbathe in peace. Each of the bedrooms is en suite, the beds were extremely comfortable and the views from the balconies/pool/roof are unbeatable. There are also a lot of smaller details that are so thoughtful - you can tell this place is owned by a family and loved by them too. The town itself is also stunning, a few of us would wander down of a morning to bring back fresh pastries (stopping off at ‘The Port’ for a coffee on the jetty, and to watch the water polo). There are a few other lovely restaurants in town, but we also took advantage of the bbq and fabulous kitchen area - as nowhere in the town could beat eating with that view as a backdrop. Finally, I have to mention the fabulous Jerka and Cesar. Jerka looked after us so well. She was there if we needed any help, and even organised a pizza delivery on our first night. Nothing was too much trouble - she was so friendly and kind. The villa was always spotless after she’d been. Cesar was also incredibly helpful. We would often use his taxi to drive the children/buggies back from town in the evening, as the steps back up to the villa were quite a lot for little legs. He also organised to take us elsewhere on the island, on the days that we felt like exploring. All in all, we are just so grateful to Nicola for helping us make our dream holiday a reality. We couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful week or a better host, and I wish every other guest as fabulous a stay. This villa is truly special.

Amazing villa
The photos for the villa don’t do it justice, it’s much bigger than it appears. The views are beautiful and it’s kept lovely and clean by Jerka. We had a fantastic time here and would 100% recommend it.

About the host

I am an English lady, who grew up in Kent, England, but now lives in Oslo, Norway. I studied psychology in Leicester and went on to become a clinical psychologist at the University of Oslo. I live in Oslo with two of my three children still at home, my husband and a German Alsatian dog.As a family we love travelling and after a sailing holiday in Croatia we fell in love with this beautiful place. We built our house in the loveliest village we had ever seen, Pucisca, and take great pleasure in being able to share this wonderful space with other people. We use the house as our own holiday home and have equipped the house to the standard we ourselves like to have. We enjoy cooking, so the kitchen has all the utensils and modern equipment you could wish for. I personally manage the house, so i make sure it meets the standard i expect. And I have a wonderful housekeeper, who keeps on top of everything when I am not around.

Why they chose this property

We sailed in Croatia along the Dalmation coast in 2012 and spent a week on Brac. We totally fell in love with the island, the people, the lifestyle and the food. We decided that this would be a great place for a family vacation home. After viewing various locations we were shown our villa plot. Despite being shown the plot in winter, we were bowled over by the view and the village and our journey began.
We decided to build a villa big enough to house our extended family and to finance it by renting it out when we are not staying there ourselves. We have since spent many wonderful holidays with various aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins and friends. It was a great decision and one we have not regretted.

What makes this property unique

The location of the house, with its amazing views, has to be its main selling point. In addition, the village is very authentic and the locals are very kind and welcoming, this is not a touristy place with the usual tourist traps.
We used a well known Croatian architect to design a modern villa with all essential amenities, but also encompassing the beautiful and famous Brac stone. He had a fantastic ability to place windows and doors just where the breeze blows and to make seated areas both in and out of the sun.
The villa is beautifully designed and well equipped because we also use it ourselves. Guests have access to all the places and equipment we ourselves as a family use, I have yet to have a guest ask for something we do not all ready have at the villa.
I am very proud of the villa and do everything to make the guest experience a wonderful and memorable one. I believe the personal touches I have given to the villa and to my communication with my guests makes their holiday as enjoyable as it can be. In addition we have a wonderful housekeeper. A local lady who is an absolute gem and exceedingly helpful as well as being an excellent cook.
