Jerez is a beautiful Andalucian city of many small and large squares and combines the friendly, relaxed, leisurely way of life of a small town with the cultural sophistication of an ancient city. Because of the apartment's location -in the heart of the city - it is ideal for families, couples, golfers and people who do not wish to drive. You won't find the huge hotels and nightclubs of the Costa del Sol here. Instead, in Jerez you'll find a lot of good, local cafes and bars, lively night life, sports such as golf, horse riding, car racing and motorcycle racing, and a range of cultural events that's truly astounding - sherry bodegas, equestrian events, flamenco dance, colourful religious festivals. Jerez is a major centre for them all. It's a wonderful place. Everyone who visits Andalucia loves it.

Beautifully equipped apartment in perfect location

We were a party of 6 adults who were all delighted with the apartment - the listing was very accurate and the actual apartment spacious, spotlessly clean and so well equipped with things such as beach towels, extra loo paper - a small thing but one that matters! The kitchen was great - had everything we needed to eat al fresco one night with delicious fresh fish from the local market. Beds were comfortable, lots of hot water for showers and the apartment itself was cool during the day when the heat rose. Definitely recommend as it was perfect - a 20 minute walk to the train station; in a great location 2 mins from a main street - but quiet - with cafes, shops, bars etc.

Excellent apartment, excellent location

This apartment was everything it promised on the website. The photos were a perfect reflection of the property. The owner had made lots of thoughtful provisions for guests such as British socket leads and separate beach towels and left kitchen and bathroom supplies to make the first few days run smoothly and make her guests feel at home in this lovely bright modern apartment. There was a wealth of insider information in a helpful guide for guests on site on local travel, restaurants and bars put together by the owner from personal experience. The location was very central for everything and Jerez was a great place from which to explore Andalusia. The public transport system including a direct train from the airport was fast, efficient, modern and very cost effective. The beautiful tiled train station and bus station next door were within twenty mins walk from the apartment giving easy access to several beach locations, seaside towns and interesting places for day visits as well as Cadiz only 45 mins away and Seville only an hour away by train. The owner quickly resolved a missing key for the rooftop drying area by email and the couple who met us on arrival spoke perfect English and were really helpful in explaining how everything worked and making suggestions for local amenities. Jerez has many hidden jewels such as the Alaczar with its Camera Obscura, the beautiful Andalusian equestrian school which does both formal shows and days on which guests can observe training sessions. There are plenty of options for eating out with the oldest cafe bar - la Moderna - for breakfast in the nearby Calle Larga and many bars, ice cream cafés and restaurants all within easy walki

Fantastic Apartment

I can not say enough good things about this apartment. It was just as it looked in the photographs. It is modern, immaculate and so centrally located I can not believe it. There is so much to do in the area within walking distance and the train and bus services are so affordable, convenient and actually run on time There are so many places to visit within an easy train or bus ride. We went to Seville for the day and it only took an hour by train. The train station is about a fifteen minute walk from the apartment but once you find it it is an easy walk. The owner is wonderful and made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay memorable. The property has everything and more. You will not believe all that is there for your comfort. Jerez is not full of tourists but wonderful, friendly locals who add to the beauty of the place. I have visited Spain before but Jerez and this apartment get my vote. Thank you so much for everything.

Excellent apt, great location!

We recently spent 10 days in this little jewel of an apartment in Jerez and had a fantastic time. The listing and pictures were accurate -- what you see is what you get: a modernly decorated, comfortable apartment right in the heart of Jerez. The bustling Calle Larga was just a 5 min walk away and we loved having Cafe Moderna for our morning cafe con leche so nearby. We were four adults and two kids -- ages 2 years and 6 months old -- and everyone was perfectly comfortable in this apartment. Cadiz, beaches, Seville and Arcos de la Frontera were all just an easy car drive away. The owners met us as we pulled into Jerez and made periodical visits to make sure everything was working as promised -- and it was. Highly recommended, a great way to see Jerez and the surrounding environs.

Mi comentario es para describir en estas poquitas palabras mi estancia en Jerez, en pleno mes de agosto, con mi familia.

Como preambulo, diré que tengo una gran experiencia (y de todo tipo) en disfrutar las vacaciones en apartamentos.

Estuve con mi familia en Jerez de la Frontera durante los días 5 al 9 de agosto de 2010 y alquilamos este apartamento (85223).

El apartamento era una maravilla, de hecho, cuando me preguntan ¿qué tal las vacaciones? empiezo por decir que el apartamento era maravilloso.

Está ubicado en el centro de Jerez a la vez que tranquilo.

En las fotografías de la página hay una vista que no se corresponde con las vistas desde la ventana, pues está situado enfrente de un edificio que están rehabilitando, aunque la verdad es que no miramos mucho por la ventana.

Los muebles son nuevos e impecables.

El apartamento estaba limpio y ordenado.

En la cocina, grandísima, hay armarios en toda la pared y hay a tu disposición más ropa de cama y toallas de la que puedas utilizar.

La apariencia de la ropa era perfecta.

En cuanto llegamos a Jerez llamamos al propietario y en poco tiempo, éste llegó al lugar donde habíamos quedado.

Tiene aire acondicionado y ademas ventiladores con mando a distancia en cada habitación.

El apartamento está pensado para seis personas adultas y como tal tiene todas las prestaciones. Desde seis armarios de baño, 6 paraguas plegables..... , en fin, no he visto nunca, repito NUNCA, un apartamento tan bien equipado y tan bien organizado como este pues cuando tiene una prestación, siempre va un poco más allá. (Por ejemplo: tiene internet y wifi, pues bien tambien tiene ordenador -que funciona perfecto-

A mi vuelta de vacaciones escribí al propietario para felicitarle, y darle las gracias por su disposición.

Creo que con toda esta descripción, no sería necesario decir que si, si lo recomendaría y de hecho lo estoy haciendo.

En cuanto a Jerez de la Frontera, ya había estado anteriormente así es que no visitamos ni la Real Escuela Andaluza de Arte Ecuestre ni una bodega (dos cosas básicas a visitar) nos dedicamos a callejear, Catedral, San Miguel, Calle Larga, Plaza del Arenal.... ya que sus calles y plazas tienes mucho encanto.

En cuanto a restaurantes, uno se puede permitir darse un capricho en cualquier momento, pues existe una excelente relación calidad precio. Desde los desayunos tipicos de café, pan con aceite y tomate en la plaza del Arenal hasta el Restaurante Antonio con marisco y cazuelicas.

Jerez is just 20 min from the ancient port of Cadiz by train and 12 km by local bus or train to El Puerto Santa Maria, one of many nearby natural beaches on the Costa de la Luz. Jerez is well known for its sherries, horses, fiestas and flamenco dancing. It is a picturesque town of wide boulevards and squares loaded with fine Gothic and baroque architecture, and a fabulous Moorish history. Golf courses (the nearest one is a 10 min drive), the Grand Prix Circuit and the mountain villages are within easy reach. Rental cars are readily available and inexpensive. The apartment is an excellent central base for exploring the town, the Province of Cadiz and the whole Andalucia region.
