PRIVATE POOL!! Sunset Cottage. With Stunning Views of the Chateau and the Valley

Welcome to our 2 lovingly restored holiday cottages, each cottage has it's own private pool. The open plan kitchen, living room and dining area also opens out onto the private terrace and pool area. The living area comfortably seats 2 people, with sofa, dining table and fitted kitchen. The kitchen includes, gas hob, microwave, fridge, toaster, coffee machine and kettle. The bathroom includes toilet, shower cubicle and washbasin. Free Wifi is available throughout the property and the garden.

Beautiful location overlooking fields and forest, with a chateau across the valley. Within walking distance of Rouffignac, with supermarket, shops and restaurant. Fabulous places to visit nearby. Property flooded with light, very clean and size ample for two, although shower room on the small side. Pool great for the hot weather we had. Karen friendly and knowledgeable.

Over the years lots of people have asked why we decided to move to France. The only answer we have ever really been able to come up with is that ‘we fancied a bit of a change’. And that’s really all there was to it. At the time we had very little understanding of the country or its people, naively thinking, ‘How different can it be ? It’s only across the channel’. Stupid right ?

But that was such a long time ago. Here we are now, 20 years later, living in a part of the world that really is truly amazing. The scenery, even after all this time, can still take your breath away. We enjoy some of the best food and wine in the world. We have the space to grow our own vegetables, rear our own animals and have settled into country life in a way that we never could have imagined.

But most of all it’s the quiet that really makes a difference. Whether it’s a warm summer’s morning or a crisp winter’s day, it will always be peaceful and very very quiet. But don’t just take our word for it, come and see for yourself….

Why they chose this property

What makes this property really special are the views and use of your own private pool. Sitting on the terrace with a glass of wine on a summers evening, watching the spectacular sunsets over the valley and the chateau, will give you holiday memories to take away and cherish forever.
