Typically you will need to invest in a sword afterwards and luckily these are available.
The O2 adventure park might have you shaking in your boots, Mum, but hey the children will love climbing the trees and walking along the ropes 20-30 metres up in the trees. Great fun for Dads and sons.

After the drive through you can walk around and see the rest of the animals, a great day out. We suggest you take a picnic and find a nice spot under the trees in the car park.
There are lots of local markets to visit and pick up home grown & local produce. You have Olanzac on Tuesday, Lezignan Wednesday

About Carol Ross
Carol and Andrew Ross love rural France, the friendly people, the hot summers and mild winters, fresh fruit, blue skies, smell of cut grass and the sound of the village clock as it chimes the hours as they pass. Carol looks after the property while andrew works across Europe.
Carol Ross purchased this house in 2001
Why Carol Ross chose Carcassonne surroundings
Petites Ecuries is in the middle of the Minervois wine growing region, surrounded by grapes and great wines. The canal flows at the bottom if its landscaped gardens. Enjoy: sun by the two pools; a drink at either of the 'Baa Baa' Bars; a sleep under the trees; or a game of boules, come sample the fun.
What makes this house unique
Private, on the Canal du Midi, minutes from many attractions.

Our first visit to this area of France which won't be our last. Pon Pon is one of the best Gites we have stayed in. Exceptionally well equipped and a beautiful pool to enjoy whenever you wish. Carol and Andrew (supported by Louis!) are very friendly, obliging and provide as little or as much information as you need to explore the region and enjoy the location. You can while away time watching the boats pass or borrow the bikes and cycle along the towpath to Trebes where you can enjoy the activity in the boat basin while drinking local wine. Absolutely would recommend staying at Les Petites Ecuries and Gite Pon Pon in particular.
The house is very well equipped, very comfortable and in an excellent location for exploring the region. The pool is superb for a family and the large rear garden backs onto the canal. We recommend it.
Stunning, well equipped villa
The photographs did not do this property justice. It has everything you need and was immaculate It was in a beautiful, quiet village setting. Lovely walks along the canal to the boulangerie or friendly bar. Honesty bar and pool airbeds and toys were welcome extras. I would recommend to friends and family. Louis the dog made it even more special.
A great place to stay, close to the Canal du Midi
The gite was clean, modern and well equipped with all mod cons and home comforts. It backs onto the Canal du Midi, which is ideal for borrowing the available bikes and cycling along the canal path. Carol and Andrew are on site and are happy to help with any queries and questions, they even let us borrow their sat nav. We particularly enjoyed the activities at Lac du Cavayere, visiting the Airbus factory at Toulouse airport and sampling the local wines. Would definitely recommend this property to others.
This is the third time we have stayed here and can honestly say we had a great time on all 3 occasions. if you are looking for a relaxing break just to get away from everyday life this would be ideal as it sits along the canal which is great for a morning stroll or bike ride. the bikes are free to use.Yo can even try your hand at a bit of fishing. Carol made sure we had all we needed and if we needed any help this was no trouble. we shared the pool and this wasn't an issue the other guest were really nice, polite and quiet exactly what you need for a quiet break. Would i go back after 3 times i most definately would and have already booked to return next year. Looking forward to seeing Carol and Andrew again. Thanks for your hospitality
Amazing Gites, A Home From Home
Me my husband our 3 children (12,5 &1) have now had our 3rd visit to Petities Ecuries. These Gites are amazing. They are situated in a stunning area surrounded by friendly locals. The gites themselves are flawless, they were spotless when we arrived and contained all we needed and more. Our children are never bored whilst we are there, games of table tennis, swing ball, boules and majority of time taken up in the pool, there is even a range of indoor activities of games and consoles for a rainy day. I spent many afternoons reading on the patio whilst my Husband and children played football or went for bike rides. Carol and Andrew are amazing hosts, they provided a cot, highchair, buggy and much more for my 1 yr old, which helped a lot. The gites still look as they did 3 years ago when we first stayed, they are kept clean, up to date and well maintained. The owners Carol & Andrew were fab and we cannot thank them enough they were always around to recommend where to go to eat or visit. My 1 yr old fell in love with their chickens and dog Louis, often going with Carol to collect the fresh laid eggs every day, their customer service is faultless. We have already booked up to return next year and are counting down the days

Activity and Interests
Petites Ecuries is located in the middle of Marseillette village, near Carcassonne in the southern Minervois region of the Languedoc. It sits on a hill between the Canal du Midi and the river Aude.
If your looking to see and experience an authentic French village, explore the many villages and picturesque countryside, discover great wines and wonderful food then come on down, you’ll love it. Or if you’re like some of our quests they just laze around the pool and garden soaking up the sun. Watch the canal boats meander along the canal du midi at the bottom of the garden.
Want to explore a little further a field then follow Cathar history, check out Beziers, Minerve, Caves (Dinosaur), Narbonne & the Mediterranean Sea, Sigean Wild Life Park and Spain are all close by.
Marseillette has Boulangerie, Bar, Hotel, Cave and in nearby Trebes & Carcassonne you’ll find supermarkets, petrol, chemist, newsagent, banks etc.
The property sits within a UNESCO world heritage zone.
Golf: Carcassonne has a lovely 18 hole Par 71 - 5,758 metre golf course playable all year round with views of the Pyrenees and which is only a 20 minute drive away. A unique course provides a challenge on most holes, testing your skills and technical ability.

The driving range will cost you 2 Euors a bucket. Trolleys and electric Buggies are also available.
The Golf Club terrace restaurant and its 3 course lunch (18 Euro per person) overlooking the 1st Tee is a very nice place to relax after a round.
