About this property

We are moving our listing to Air BnB shortly and will stop taking bookings through this site. A beautiful chalet in the heart of Châtel (800m), close to the lifts, restaurants, supermarket, bars and the Forme d'O leisure centre. Recently refurbished and under new ownership. Underfloor heating in the living areas and a real fire in the spacious main living room. Stunning views and the central fireplace creates a warm and homely atmosphere. Heated boot racks and indoor ski racks. We have a hot tub outside and a large seating area balcony. Fully equipped kitchen for self catering and if you bring your own staff, we could also accommodate them in apartment, below but separate to the main chalet. End of stay cleaning is included in the price. Plenty of off road parking for four large cars.
After a day on the slopes you can relax in the hot tub and sauna.
The chalet can accommodate up to 16 people (14 adults) in optimum comfort.
Comfort and luxury is all around you. Obviously use of linen, bathrobes and towels are included too.

Excellent Property

This chalet was everything and more we hoped it be. With 14 people, there was plenty of space for eating, sleeping and family fun. Great location, great bus service to the town and slopes. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent Chalet, close to facilities

A brilliant chalet, with a very good range of cookery stuff and crockery. Very warm, with a lovely communal area, and great views across the valley. The buses to the ski lifts worked out very well, the Sherpa supermarket is no more than 5 mins down the slope, and the centre of Chatel itself is not that much further. All in all a fantastic stay.

A great stay in a great chalet

A lovely chalet, 8 good double bedrooms and a fantastic lounge area with a large open fire and fantastic mountain views. Well located with sub 10 minute walk to Super Châtel lift and town centre and bus stop close by for access to town or Gabelou and Porte Du Soleil chairlifts.

Fabulous Les Frangins

This is an amazing chalet to stay in, thank you Adam! We were 4 families, 8 adults & 8 kids - all able to fit and not feel squashed. The pictures don't do justice to the actual size & quality of the place. We were met by Francis who showed us where everything was & how it worked and was able to give good advice on the local area. The huge living room could comfortably seat us all & even have room for the kids to put on a show! The kitchen had everything we needed with two ovens & massive fridge & freezers. The chalet was set at just the right temperature, though we couldn't resist lighting the huge fire once or twice just for the feel! The bedrooms & bathrooms were spotlessly clean and the beds were some of the comfiest we have ever had. Watching the sun slip behind the mountains from the hot tub & sauna was a perfect way to relax after a full day on the slopes, and the games room great to keep everyone entertained later on. It was a pleasure to have a proper sized boot room where we could all get changed without being on top of each other. The location is great too, plenty of shops near by and the ski bus stop is just a couple of minutes up the hill. We had a couple of large vehicles so mostly drove to the different lifts depending on the conditions - great access to all of Chatel, Morgins & the Swiss side and easy access into Avoriaz . Overall a brilliant holiday & hope to return again soon!

Fantastic chalet. Would definitely recommend it .

The chalet was fantastic in all ways. Very clean and well equipped. The chalet was furnished very tastefully and was very welcoming and homely. We were a group of 16 made up of 4 families and the layout of the chalet worked very well. We ate in most evenings, the kitchen was large and well equipped which made it easy to cater for 16 people. The jacuzzi was enjoyed by all. The boot/ski room was well layed out which made it easy in the mornings when all 16 of us were putting on our boots. The ski bus is only a very small walk away and made it easy getting to all the ski lifts from the Chalet. We were welcomed on arrival by a very nice couple who showed us around and explained the workings of the chalet. Communication with the owner was also extremely good prior to our visit. Would definitely go back.

We are two brothers and our families who live in the UK but have recently bought this property, previously owned and listed by Alpine Quests. This is our Fifth season renting this property , but have considerable experience of renting property previously and have a good knowledge of the Portes du Soleil ski area.

Why they chose this property

It is beautiful from the outside and from inside. It is very reasonably priced considering the quality. Frangins is close to restaurants, bars, the village centre, ski lifts and the free navette, which can take you further, stops at the top of our garden.
