About this property

Lovely and cosy Formosa apartment is just 5 min walking distance from S. Marco's Square and the Rialto Bridge. It' s located just few steps from Santa Maria Formosa one of the most characteristic place in Venice, in a typical Venetian building. Recently restored the apartment, of about 50 m², consists in a large open space with kitchen and living (with high wood beaming ceiling), satellite TV, Internet Wifi and double sofa bed. Kitchen is furnished with fridge and freezer, gas stove, microwave, dishwasher. The main bedroom has a King size bed, large wardrobe. Bathroom with bathtub and washing machine. Very original and prestigious ceilings represented by a truss structure. Parquet floor. Air conditioning, fan included and cradle available on request. All the rooms are very bright as lighted up by several windows. Supermarket, shops, restaurants, bars, pubs, just nearby.

Shopping: We are just around the corner from a Venetian supermarket, less than 1 min walk away. Shopping for food couldn't be easier. If you like fresh food go to the very famous Rialto mercato a daily food market (no Sunday) crammed with just fished fish, fresh fruit and vegetables just off Rialto bridge. Nearby the apartment there are various other small food outlets scattered around where you can buy meats, cheese, bread, etc. This will be a more interesting although challenging shopping experience than the supermarket. You will find many top brand shops antique and gift shops.

How to get to the Rialto Bridge from “Marco Polo” the Venice airport:
Best option direct connection take ALILAGUNA ORANGE LINE and get off at Rialto (50 minutes). Second option take bus Actv or Atvo to Piazzale Roma. From Piazzale Roma take the line 2 of the public water bus (we call it “vaporetto”) and get off at Rialto (about 12 minutes).

How to get to the Rialto Bridge from “Treviso” airport: take coach Atvo to Piazzale Roma. From Piazzale Roma take the line 2 of the public water bus (we call it “vaporetto”) and get off at Rialto (about 12 minutes).

Arriving by TRAIN:
How to get to the Rialto Bridge from the railway station 'Venice Santa Lucia': take the line 2 of the public water bus (we call it “vaporetto”) and get off at Rialto (about 12 minutes).

ARRIVING BY CRUISE:
How to get to the Rialto Bridge from the cruise terminal: if you cannot directly take the line number 2 from the cruise terminal take the shuttle or people mover to Piazzale Roma. From Piazzale Roma take the line 2 of the public water bus (called “vaporetto”) and get off at Rialto (about 12 minutes)

Clean, cozy, comfortable

This apartment in Venice was fantastic. We loved how spacious it is, how comfortable it felt, and how quiet it was inside. The heat worked great, the bath and shower were very nice, the bed extremely comfortable, and the amount of space ample. The kitchen was great for cooking, and the couch was a nice place to relax. We also appreciated the welcome service that met us at the dock and walked us to the apartment. It is up some stairs, so keep this in mind, but I would recommend this place to anyone fit enough to get up them. We would definitely stay here again if visiting Venice in the future.

Great appartment in the heart of Venice

It's great cozy apartment in the heart of Venice. It's very comfortable and have everything you need to fully enjoy Venice vacation. There is a plenty of room for 2-3 people. Welcoming party is always great, even if there are some delays with arrivals. We stayed there twice in 2013 and 2015 and will try to get it again when we happen to be in Venice. Highly recommended

Excellent location, big flat, good facilities

We came to Venice to do the Venice Marathon in Oct 2014. The reason for choosing this apartment was because it had a bathtub and we wanted to know we'd be able to soak our weariness away after the run! The other reason for choosing the apartment was because it was close to waterbus stops at Rialto and San Marco - we knew we'd need to have good transport links so we could get picked up by the marathon buses very early on the Sunday morning. It turned out that our choice was an excellent one. The apartment was very spacious and the kitchen had enough facilities for breakfast and lunch. You could probably make dinner there too and eat at the breakfast bar but there are lots of restaurants right on the doorstep so we just ate out. The living area is open plan kitchen/living room and there is plenty of room for two people to spread out and relax. The bathroom was nice and big too - the bathtub was most welcome and the shower worked fine too. There was also a washing machine in the bathroom which we used. The bedroom had lots of storage and the bed was big and comfortable. We arrived late in the evening but met up with our greeter with no problems - we'd got off at the wrong Rialto stop but had been given a mobile number to call and the greeter came straight away to where we were. We had lots of helpful communication from Luca before we arrived too! The location of the apartment was excellent. The entrance was in a little back lane off Salizada San Lio which has lots of restaurants and there's a supermarket on the next corner. You can walk to San Marco or Rialto in about 10 minutes as the apartment is mid-way between both attractions - both are on the main waterbus line too so you can easily get to all parts of the city. I would highly recommend this apartment and will use it again if I return to Venice - thanks Luca!

Great location in the heart of Venice

Its a great location. The Rialto bridge and St. Mark's Square are just a few mins away. Supermarket and restaurants are right down the ever-bustling lane. The apartment in itself is very good, exactly as depectied in the description and pictures you see here. The 3 flight of stairs could be a challenge, especially with people who travel heavy, or have health issues. Operating the shower requires some skill. The welcome party was very helpful - our flight was delayed by 2 hours, but we had no problems in calling and changing the meet-up time at the Rialto. We loved Venice and will definately recommend this apartment for anyone who needs to a comfortable stay in the city-centre.
