we are Tiziana, Bruno and the wagging Chicca, sociable Golden Retriever.
"Casa Nonna Franca" is an independent apartment of about 90 square meters located on the ground floor of the two-family house with garden a few steps from the lake
Final cleaning costs € 50 mandatory and € 200 security deposit to be paid on arrival fully refundable on departure.
Municipal tourist tax € 0.50 per night per person, does not apply to children under the age of six.
After your booking, a copy of the lease will be sent to you.

NON-AGGRESSIVE AND EDUCATED DOMESTIC ANIMALS MAY BE ACCEPTED WITH AGREEMENT AT THE TIME OF BOOKING SO THAT THERE ARE NO PROBLEMS OF COHABITING WITH OUR GOLDEN RETRIEVERS. IT IS FORBIDDEN TO LEAVE UNATTENDED ANIMALS AND TO DIRT THEM IN THE GARDEN

The apartment consists of a bright livable kitchen facing the garden, well equipped and functioning with washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, oven, microwave and Nespresso coffee machine, a large living room, two comfortable rooms and an equipped bathroom. 5 people can be accommodated with the possibility of adding a playpen for children up to 5 years. In the garden there is a comfortable and sheltered space for breakfast, lunches and relaxation provided you will find 2/3 bicycles at your disposal.

The house is located in Suna in a quiet residential area on the charming Piedmontese shore of Lake Maggiore, a few steps from the lakeside promenade, the beach, the well-equipped communal swimming pool with beach and tennis courts. The village is served by a comfortable and well-stocked oven with a grocery store, pharmacy, newsagent, tobacconist and florist, and popular bars, restaurants and trendy pizzerias, so much so as to be called the Saint Tropez of Verbania. Less than 5 minutes away two large supermarkets. A short distance from the lakeside promenade, where the rental station for bicycles managed by the municipality and the bus stop is located, leads to nearby Pallanza where you can find the embarkation point for the wonderful gulf of the Borromean islands, the renowned botanical garden Villa Taranto. and in 8 minutes you get to Intra.
The Continental Verbania Golf Course is 10 minutes away by car and the Golf des IIes Borromee and the historic Alpine Golf are 20 minutes away. Less than an hour's drive you can comfortably reach the MonterosaSki and Sandomenicoski ski resorts of the Ossola Valley particularly beautiful places for excursions and summer walks.

Super Stay in Suna

We (myself, wife and 15 year-old son) spent a lovely week in Casa Nonna Franca. Although Tiziana was away, we had had excellent communication with her from before we set off in the UK and this continued right through our stay whenever we needed advice or help. She had arranged for a lovely neighbour to see us into the apartment on arrival; and her sister Paola was available upstairs if required and very helpful. The apartment itself was just what we wanted. Period charm with all mod-cons in a quiet street.. And just a very short walk to the lake shore; and bakery/shop/pharmacy, etc. Very well kitted out with a few helpful touches from Tiziana to ease our settling in. I should add that the provision of three bikes for the use of the guests is fantastic and we made good use of them. A few things to note: The apartment is quite dark, especially as we kept he shutters closed most of the time as it was very hot and sunny. Mosquitoes can be a bit of a problem so bring plenty of repellent! The biggest issue for us was parking our car. There is no private parking with the apartment so you take pot luck with the free public parking spaces in the street and around. But they are in constant demand! We eventually used a free public car park about a 5-10 minute walk from the apartment. Overall, we rate this apartment very highly. Great owner, brilliant location and extremely comfortable and convenient. We'd definitely go back again.

Best property I have ever rented

My wife and I rented this property for nine nights around mid September, it’s situated a few minutes walk from the Lake side,we have rented property all over Europe for many years and can say quite simply “ it’s the best property we have ever stayed in. The owners, who live upstairs treated us like Royalty,the property is on the ground floor, it’s immaculacy clean and has everything you need,there’s a secure enclosed garden suitable for dog owners, we had our King Charles Cavalier with us who became friends with the owners dog. There’s a local small but very adequate shop , bread to die for, cheeses veggies meat milk and lots more around 3 minutes walk away, there’s a good choice of restaurants and Bars down by the lake side, 3 minutes walk. Palanza is a 20 minutes walk or 5 minutes by car. I promise, you will not be disappointed. We thoroughly recommend this property with out hesitation.The owners are the sweetest couple you could ever wish to meet. If your chosen dates are available book the property immediately, you will not be dissapointed, in a nut shell “ go for it” Ron and Fumiko

A Real Gem

The apartment was really lovely with lots of personal touches that made it feel homely straight away. The kitchen, with it's beautiful granite surfaces was a joy to sit in for breakfast, or to cook supper in the evening. Everything possible was provided to make it easy. And the lounge was lovely too with a large table to work at, and a really comfortable sofa for watching television. Plenty of information was provided too about the local area. Everything was so comfortable - from the lovely new bed to the large shower in the modern bathroom. Unusually there was plenty of space in the bedroom to store clothes and to put cases away for the duration of the holiday. The apartment is set in the old village of Suna just a short walk away from the lakeside of Lake Maggiore. Here there is a good choice of places for an early evening drink, sitting on the pavement watching the world go by. There is also a good variety of restaurants with plenty of excellent Italian food. Suna is right next door to Pallanza with Intra just around the corner and it is possible to get to all three on foot or by bus or by boat, depending on energy levels! The area is good for walking, both low level, through the woods and small villages or higher up in the mountains. There are plenty of small restaurants en-route for lazy lunches alongside the locals. I would certainly like to return to this apartment - the atmosphere and quality was everything I was seeking for a very comfortable few days away from home.

Casa Nonna Franca

Das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet, es war sehr angenehm kühl und ruhig in der Nacht, es hat uns im Haus an nichts gefehlt. Tiziana/ Bruno/ Lady (Hund) haben uns ganz herzlich empfangen und hatten immer ein Ohr bei jeder Frage. Wir konnten uns sehr gut erholen, würde wieder dort übernachten...
