About this property

Casa Garigal is a private villa located on the edge of the village (cortijo) of Cabrera in the Sierra Cabrera Mountains. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms as well as a private pool. Fabulous mountain views available wherever you look.

The front door opens into a hallway with access to bedrooms 2 and 3, bathroom 2 and the main open plan living room, as well as the terrace. French doors from the living room also lead to the terrace and to the front of the villa.

This villa is our Spanish home but in the summer we return to the UK and it is available for short term rentals.

Our honest review...

On arrival we were greeted at the property and shown around the villa however nothing was mentioned about disposal of recycling and general waste. We had ask what to do about the build up of this as we were staying for 9 nights and didnt want to attract flies, wasps and mosquitos etc. we were told to leave this and it would be sorted after our stay which baffled us. Flies, wasps and mosquitos in particular in this area was astonishing, we then had to contact management and were advised to put rubbish into a small box in the driveway and this would be collected the following day. No collection happened so we were still stuck with rubbish and were bitten numerous times. When we returned home we shocked to find an unauthorised payment taken from my account which I am disputing with Vrbo and my bank for an additional cleaning fee when we followed what we were told and now are being penalised for it. There was a cleaning fee, but the amount of dust in the bedrooms especially was disappointing and it makes you wonder what this fee was for. Admittedly part of this charge was for a broken patio chair which we are accountable for but in regards to rubbish evidence has been given to us and to Vrbo who do not see this action as justifiable. Swimming pools need to be cleaned but no forewarning of timings, resulting in cleaners arriving, letting themselves in while our children were playing. Knives needed sharpening and other utensils needed a refresh. I would not recommend this villa.

Beautiful secluded property in the mountains, fully equipped for your stay.

Had a lovely stay would recommend the beautiful property with pool however it is very secluded in the mountains, car recommended as you are up in the hills. Taxi approx €20 euro to the village of Turre which has plenty of fantastic restaurants and bars and shops. Locals are very friendly and helpful. Beaches at Mojacar and Gurrucha are beautiful and clean We Enjoyed our 3 week family vacation

A Great Property

The villa is set in the mountains with lovely views. The Pool was cleaned twice a week which was great. The owners and their reps who met us were all very helpful and friendly. We had a great time.

Brilliant villa

This villa is perfect for families looking to get away from it all. Close enough to shops to get bits you need and far enough away to have a relaxing and quiet break. Highly recommend

Beautiful spot in Sierra Cabrera

This Villas position up in Sierra Cabrera was absolutely amazing with stunning views all around. Our experience was spot on with the host from the moment we booked, at our arrival and during our stay. The facilities in the villa are very good, definitely gave us a home from home feeling. The pool was great as well as the surroundings, which benefited from the sun all day long. Would thoroughly recommend.
