Great Place to Stay

We had a lovely weekend stay in Durham at Jo's house. It is modern and spacious and exceeded all of our expectations. The living room is nice and bright with a big dining table that easily seated the 5 of us. There is a bathroom on every floor which was very useful, especially for my grandparents who have some mobility problems. We all agreed all the bedrooms were lively and spacious too (with the top bedroom having its own walk-in closet). The kitchen had everything we needed to cook for 5; large array of pots and pans, plates and mugs, utensils and cutlery, some essentials such as tea/coffee, oil etc. and even some great cookbooks that made the place feel like a lived-in home. The whole house felt very homely with a Wii hooked up to the TV with an assortment of games, a box of children's toys and lots of interesting books all around. Although we didn't really use the back garden (given the time of year), it is beautiful and has a nice patio with a barbecue, so would be great for the summer.

Also, Jo was on hand to help anytime and when we had a request, she promptly sorted it out.

In all, we had a really great time and and they were great hosts. Highly recommend if you want to have a short (or long) break in the beautiful city of Durham sometime.
