The cottages both sleep up to 4 adults in two bedrooms. Additionally, babies and children sleeping in cots are welcome. There is a private shared garden with amazing views across the Dee Valley along side the secluded off road car park. We take pride in our cottages, they are both fully equipped, centrally heated and very cosy with open fires, huge super king size beds in one bedroom and twins in the other. The price you pay includes all power, linen and towels plus the first scuttle of logs. We do not charge extra.

The cottages were converted in 2006 from the old barns that were attached to the farm that once worked the land around us. The buildings date back to at least the late 17th century, things get a bit hazy before then but, we believe there has been a building on the site for well over a thousand years. A holiday with us is more than just a holiday it's being part of and enjoying the real history of the area.

There are very many activities suitable for the experienced, the novice or those who just want to relax and chill out. The area offers white water rafting, a particular favourite with families who have young children, you can go horse riding, mountaineering, canoeing, mountain biking. We have two stately homes with magnificent gardens in the area, a canal that offers boats rides, either horse drawn or drive your own. You can also take a barge across the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, a world heritage site. Those who have a head for heights can also walk across or even canoe. We have restaurants, bars and country pubs all close by. We even have the only Michelin starred restaurant in Wales just 20 minutes drive away; somewhere to celebrate that special day or anniversary.
