LOCAL AREA
The property is close to the comprehensive shopping areas of both Southbourne and Boscombe with their many cafes and bars. For those that want more than just sand castles there is nearby Fisherman's Walk which was the final stretch of an ancient route taken by villagers of Holdenhurst to reach the sea for fishing. As Southbourne started being developed in the early twentieth century, this strip of land was preserved in 1913 as a park for the enjoyment of residents. It has also become the refuge for wildlife which adds to its attraction. Known for being a popular seaside resort in the suburb of Bournemouth, Southbourne-On-Sea is situated between well-known Boscombe and Christchurch. Southbourne makes for the perfect stay, which attractions all within walking distance. Southbourne is home to one of the many Blue Flag award-winning beaches, the miles of safe golden sands ensures a perfect family day out at. Just up from the beach, you will find a very popular children’s play park on the cliff top, with the opportunity to stroll along to the many cafes. The main area of Southbourne is Southbourne Grove, which harbours a long shopping street that has a unique mix of individual shops. Here you’ll find local amenities such a post office, bank, pharmacy and chain supermarkets including both Tescos and Sainsburys, for those who wish to cook at home of an evening. Although still a popular resort, Southbourne-On-Sea is an area for tourists keen to escape the busier areas of Bournemouth town centre. Why not catch the land train which runs across to the most eastern part? A train runs across Hengistbury Head from the bus terminus to the beach, where you’ll find a prime spot for some kite flying. The nearby Priory market town of Christchurch offers some fabulous river walks and boat trips as well as the opportunity to indulge in a cream tea. The cosmopolitan centre of Bournemouth lies just a short distance away with a plethora of shopping, dining and entertainment facilities. An excellent choice.

Good functional accomodation very close to beach
A good 'home from home' holiday let. Great for self catering with well stocked kitchen appliances and equipment. Our ground floor flat was spacious and pleasant. You do get some noise from the flat above at bedtime but no more than what you'd get at a hotel. Wonderful tree lined quiet avenue location. Both wet room and bathroom are windowless but have extractors. Both rooms would benefit from toilet roll holders and shelves to lay out your toiletries / bathroom bags etc. The main hall would really benefit from some coat hooks too. On arrival we discovered the pull out bed was broken and had dust and cobwebs on it. The mattress cover was sandy and falling to pieces. Bournecoast resolved this within the hour. The kitchen / diner / sitting area is compact but functional and all floors are hard wood type so easy for vacuuming / sweeping up. The beds were all comfy and we all slept very well. Ideal as a base for days out. We were a mixed age family group, elderly mother and daughter, son and wife and two young boys,
