About the property

Our penthouse duplex is located in a small select development which is fully fenced and gated; the properties are set around a large swimming pool surrounded by lawned areas. Located over 2 floors the property is set out as follows: On the first floor is the spacious light and airy lounge with dining area. The lounge is fully equipped with flat screen TV, Blueray DVD and CD Hi-Fi with IPod dock and Mp3 Dock. Patio doors lead from the lounge to the first of 3 terraces; this terrace has views over the pool and the mountains and is supplied with 2 sofas, table and chairs for alfresco dining and large parasol.

Also on the first floor is a double bedroom, a shower room and a large well equipped kitchen.

On the 2nd floor is the master bedroom with patio doors leading onto a large balcony with sun beds, the 3rd bedroom is also on this floor along with the main bathroom and another terrace with arm chairs and table, this is a very peaceful spot and is perfect for the sundowners.

Secure private car parking is also provided with remote control entry gate.

The large swimming pool is in front of the duplex with shallow area for children and surrounded by lawns with shower. Perfect family location with a nice pool and spacious apartment.

The Mar Menor itself is a natural salt water lagoon spanning some 27k long and 9km wide. It is shallow and great for bathing, water sports, etc. The deepest point in the centre is a mere 7 metres. The lagoon is protected from the Mediterranean Sea by La Manga strip.

The location is also perfect for exploring the region being only 5 minutes from the AP 7 motorway and 15 min from Murcia airport.

Cartagena and Murcia are within a 30 min drive and these are beautiful Spanish cities.

Cartagena has been renowned as an important port since Roman times and offers a stunning harbour/Marina and Murcia city a Mecca for shops and baroque architecture.

Corner Laluz: a great house for a wonderfull stay!

We have stayed here for 10 days. Every day we enjoyed being here. The appartment was really perfect. We couldn't think of anything that was missing. The suggestions for making trips in the neighbourhood were great! The information about the places to see, hiking info and reviews of restaurants, we used a lot. With the given coordinates, there was no problem to reach our goal. Murcia, Cartagena, the Sunday Market at Cabo de Palos: we enjoyed it!

Mid-autumn in San Cayetano / Costa Calida

Our second stay in this magnificent penthouse - which has a very high level of comfort - in the small town of San Cayetano. We (2 adults / 3 teenagers) enjoyed our stay even more than last year October....the shores of the Mar Menor and the Mediterranean Sea, the daily markets in the townships nearby, shopping-facilities in the direct vicinity, the beautiful towns Cartagena and Murcia and this time also the hiking possibilities, especially the inland hiking possibilities....and last but not least the pool just in front of the penthouse. Even late October we were able to just enjoy sun and pool in the garden when we did not feel like going out. For us a pervect berak in a beautiful environment. Our second visit; most certainly not our last one !

October in San Cayetano

Late October, 2011, we spend a short week in this great and comfortable penthouse in San Cayetano with 5 persons. (2 adults, 3 teen-agers).

The penthouse has all luxury one can wish for; varying from A/C's in all rooms to a washing-machine and dishwasher...plus a large pool in the fenced yard and a reserved parking-space. A spacious and fully utilized kitchen in case one should decide not to eat outdoors...and all was very clean and well-maintained. The customer-service was very good too... time was taken to give personal advise on places to go, where best to eat out and other suggestions to spend time in the aea.

The location is ideal; in the small and quiet town of San Cayetano and just minutes drive away from the Mar Menor and all that it offers...and it offers a lot ! The Mar Menor itself is beautiful to visit and to swim in..or just to relax at the waterfront; preferrably on one of the countless terraces on one of the many boulevards. We especially enjoyed the nature-reserve on the south-side of Mar Menor and the markets held every day in one of the small towns in the area.

Next year, we will most certainly find our way back to San Cayetano and this beautiful penthouse.

San Cayetano is a village just 10 min drive from the stunning beaches of the Mar Menor Sea.

With easy access from Murcia San Javier Airport and excellent motorway access, this is the perfect location to stay and explore the region of Murcia - Costa Calida.

The village its self offers typical Spanish bars, restaurants, bakery, bank and mini market

Surrounded by orange groves, the location is very peaceful and the property has stunning views over the mountains and far reaching views to the sea and La Manga.

The capitol city of Murcia with its baroque and modern architecture is just 30 minutes away; also only 30 min drive is the historic Roman naval port of Cartagena with its stunning marina set in a natural basin surrounded by large cliffs with Roman defences on the tops. This is a fabulous place to sit enjoying a drink and tapas watching the boats come and go. Here you will also find the best preserved Amphitheatre outside of Rome.

Golf: There are at least 15 quality golf courses within a 30 min radius of the property, the closest on is at La Torre Golf Resort which is one of the Polaris World resorts and part of the Jack Nicklaus Trail.
