A Sweet Stay!
We opened the door to Grandma’s House and immediately felt welcomed and at home. The space was perfect for us— cozy but not too small; comfy, clean and warm. It’s clear that this house is loved by its owners. We enjoyed cooking in the perfectly adequate kitchen, looking at the stars from the back porch, and relaxing after long hikes in the hot tub. We loved this little haven and plan to return. Thanks, Len and Sherry for your hospitality!

Great Location
House was very clean and the location was perfect! Stocked with all the amenities we needed. The only negative was sleep was difficult due to the neighbor dogs, and that is no fault of the owners.

About the host

Hosted by Sherry & Len Frisbee

Host profile image
Our names are Len and Sherry Frisbee. We have lived in the Hot Springs area for all of our lives. We have two daughters that are now married to two terrific young men. We have two dogs (Luke and Sadie) and one cat (Maggie). We love this area and will be able to tell you all the local places to see.

Why they chose this property

Grandma's House was actually Len's home place. He lived there until he was about 6 years old. The house was then occupied by his Grandmother, hence the name. When Len's Grandmother died the house began to fall in disrepair. We purchased the house and started remodeling it. It had good bones but needed some love. We sanded the hardwood floors, painted, rewired and took a whole lot of wall paper off. Our daughters learned a lot about fixing up an old house. They didn't much like it then but now they are proud of how Grandma's house looks and they have used some of the skills they learned on their own houses. Our oldest daughter even stayed at Grandma's house for a few months when she first got married. We all love this house and hope you will enjoy it also. It is cozy and comfortable and feels like home.

What makes this property unique

Grandma's House is located close to the Appalachian Trail in Hot Springs, NC on a country road about two and a half miles from Hot Springs. It is located in a valley with mountain views across the road from Shut In Creek, which is perfect for trout fishing,
