Have a look of the detailed description of the three apartments of the Residence: “Ninfa Apartment”, “Sermoneta Apartment” and "Tellus Apartment".

Below, some Informations about Sermoneta: things to do, place to visit, itineraries, monuments, restaurants...

Sermoneta has changed little since its medieval conception, and the enormous fortress of Caetani Castle in the centre of the village, looms over and dominants the town and the valley below. Today, the castle hosts courses, seminars, and prestigious concerts. In July, there are concerts in the castle by well-known contemporary musicians and orchestras. The Caetani Castle is open every day from 10 to 13.
This medieval town is also known for the famous 'Ninfa Garden' that contains at least 19 varieties of deciduous Magnolia, along with birch, aquatic Iris and a sensational variety of Japanese maples growing in the eight hectares of the garden. To visit Ninfa Garden see the web site ""
The unique historic qualities of Sermoneta live on its Romanesque Cathedrals of S. Michele (XI century), Santa Maria Assunta (XII century, also famous for its frescoes of Benozzo Gozzoli), San Giuseppe (XVI century), San Francesco (erected in XI century by Knights Templar) and the Cistercian Abbey of Valvisciolo (XIV century). All of these churches are in the historical centre of the medieval town near the apartments. Don't forget the camera!
The historical centre is full of Open air restaurants and di bufala, prosciutto crudo, fettuccine ai funghi porcini and delicious italian wines are waiting for you!

The villages offers year around Festas, and in particular in the month of May, there are concerts every weekend, as well as art exhibits, painting classes for children and much more.
There is a medieval Festa of the Madonna di Vittoria in October, a Polenta festival in January, and other magical events all year long.

Sermoneta thanks for its medieval characterization has been the set for many movies like the Italian “Non ci resta che piangere” starring Roberto Benigni and Massimo Troisi or the American “Silk” from the book by Alessandro Baricco.
Also the film director Franco Zeffirelli (rewarded for 14 Oscar Nominations) fell in love with Sermoneta calling it 'The Paris of Italy'.

Lovely apartment and host, fabulous location
Just back from two glorious weeks in Sermoneta. Our first trip to Italy but definitely not our last. The apartment is wonderful and just as you see in the photos. We didn't use the pool but did visit the wonderful restaurant. Sermoneta is picture book, Rome is within comfortable commute and the beaches at Sabaudia are wonderful. Final word to Marco, thank you for a wonderful holiday my friend, we are already missing the views.

Fantastic property in a stunning location.
A beautiful setting and the apartment was fantastic: clean and well-equipped. The rooms were large and airy with optional air conditioning helping to create a cool temperature in July.

Lovely apartment with beautiful view
Lovely spacious apartment with wonderful view stretching miles across the plains with the sea in the distance. We were two couples spending a week on the outskirts of this lovely medieval village - nice to wander around the cobbled streets during the daytime and in the evenings with plenty of nice restaurants to choose from. We also cooked several meals at the apartment as it was so nice to sit and admire the view. Marco was very helpful and always available if we needed anything. He arranged for us to visit the Ninfa gardens which were beautiful. Would like to have seen them slightly earlier in the year when all of the roses were in full bloom but it was still stunning! We visited the pool a couple of times and that was very pleasant with nice sun beds and a pool bar for drinks. There was also a very busy restaurant there but we didn’t go there. The train station is just a short drive away from the apartment with free parking, and we caught the train and were in the centre of Rome in 40 minutes which was great. We spent a couple of days at the beach and our favourite was Blue Bay at Anzio. A very enjoyable holiday - thank you Marco for your hospitality.

Amazing town and fantastic views from the apartments.
Clean and tidy apartment with a host determined to do the best for his guests. The pool is lovely about 10 minutes drive away, perhaps 5 minutes if you are Italian. The town really comes alive on the weekend but is everything as described, sitting on hilltop with views to the coast and towards Rome. We had a couple of great meals out at Ghost and il Murino particularly, with good pizzas at Chichibo and some really creative thought into meat and cheese platters. Look out for the signs to La Camere Pinte as you come into the town to find the appartments and keep an eye open for the garage doors shown in the pictures. Ninfa's terrace is up above the apartment but still has all the panoramic views from the apartment windows. Some initial niggles with the wifi were sorted out by Marco. Rome is easily accessible by train and once there don't be afraid to use the odd taxi if the heat gets too much. The most we paid was about 10 euros to get across the main tourist central area back to the station. If you like authentic Italian, narrow cobbled stairways around the town, spectacular views and good food and wine, book it.

Away from it all
Our family of 5 stayed in Marco's Ninfa apartment for 2 weeks in August, it was a great base for exploring Lazio. We visited Rome (40 minutes on fast, cheap trains), Pompeii, Vesuvius (2 hours by car) and the beaches at Sabaudia and Sperlonga (20 minutes and an hour) and had a day canoeing on Lake Paola too. The apartment has a stunning aspect and was spacious and comfortable. The sunsets over the plain were beautiful almost every night and we had wonderful views from the lounge and the upstairs roof terrace. We were only a few minutes walk away from the busy square of beautiful Sermoneta, the gelaterias, the bakery, the grocery shop and many great restaurants (we especially liked Chichibios and Trattoria Ghost). The pool was a 10 minute drive but it was great to be able to use it as much as we wanted. Marco is a wonderful host, very welcoming and kind and eager to share his knowledge of his local area. We had a fabulous 2 weeks and if you too like holidays away from the madding crowds, then I cannot recommend this apartment highly enough.

Why they chose this property

These apartments belong to a medieval court of 1400 that my father has completely foreign tourists at the beginning of 2010 ask me to stay for a week or more in one apartment because they loved the combination 'past and modern' and the relaxing view that offered the so day by day I have improved this hobby of "accomodate people" and today thanks to our competence in welcoming guests and thanks to the high quality of the apartments, our structure is reccomended in the Novembere 2011 issue of 'Bell'Italia', one of the most famous italian magazine of tourism.
