CASA MARGHERITA - Residenze Seicento - Stunning view from terrace.

Casa Margherita is a panoramic apartment with terrace located on the top floor of antique palace with elevator, inside the walls of Lucca. It is very central located, in 1 min walking from the main shopping street and from Piazza San Michele. The area is no traffic allowed so it is very very quiet. The apartment is fully air conditioned and has Wi-Fi connection.

Composition: entrance, large living rooms, dining room and fully equipped kitchen, 1 king size bedroom, a wardrobe room, 1 full bathroom. There is also an extra sleeping area to accommodate 1 child.

From the living room/kitchen there is access to the terrace with spectacular view over the roofs of Lucca, from where you can enjoy the piano from the nearby music school. The terrace is fully furnished with chairs and table to have breakfast, dining, or simply relax reading a book or with a drink and your loved one while watching the sunset.

There is a laundry room with washing machine in the palace which is in common with another rental apartment.

Check-in after 8.00pm is possible with a fee of 50 euros, to be paid upon your arrival. After midnight, the late check in fee increases to 100 euros.

The closest Parking Mazzini is located in a walking distance from the rental property, so leaving the car there prior reaching the apartment is essential. By following the road signs you will be able to avoid the ZTL area while driving to the parking.

Amazing week in Lucca

We had a great week in Lucca and really enjoyed the apartment, it's in a great spot with plenty of awesome little grocery stores just down the street. Lovely view from the balcony of the roof tops, spent plenty of evenings up their drinking local wine and eating fresh focaccia. We will definitely be back Cheers!

Ideal location

Loved this sweet little apartment with it’s beautiful little terrace. It’s a bonus being opposite the music school and to hear so many talented students as they learn. Location is perfect too. Thank you Sonia for your welcome we have enjoyed our visit to beautiful Lucca.

The terrace 'in peace' inside Lucca

The apartment is excellently located in the centre of Lucca, but situated in a way that you get the best of both worlds, tranquillity and a central position, as the flat itself is at the top of a beautiful 12th century old building. The views are wide and breathtaking and are indeed the best there can be in Lucca, and include the entire old centre and the Tuscan hills all around. You need to see it to believe it as pictures can not even capture the ambiance of it all. The apartment comes out in the Piazza del Suffragio. To the right is the main street of Lucca, full of shops, which leads to the Via Fillungo. Parking can be done all around the old walls for free or inside the walls (on payment) for a reasonable fee. There is no garden, but something MUCH better, a deck terrace right outside the living room, which overviews the entire square area, complete with the church and the sky. It has lounge chairs/sofa with soft cushions with covers and a table with some chairs for delightful ambiance dinners. What I found most relaxing was just to take a lounge chair and sit and read, finding out that no matter how exciting your book is, you get drawn into the nearby and distant beauty of Lucca and surroundings. No building is out of place, there is nothing ugly or modern, it is all typically rustic and very Tuscan! Do you recommend this vacation rental to others? I would recommend this flat to everybody, as it really is the best there is in Lucca, it is so important to have nice views and be able to be outside in your house. This was one of the best holidays we have ever had and I wish I could go back tomorrow. The interior apartment is large and clean,and the terrace is spectacular and unique. The veranda area, which is covered by jasmine trees and complete with shade, is a delight to be in, very light and extremely quiet. We met the owner at arrival: so charming, a very helpful woman!

Didn't want to leave!

I have stayed in Lucca before but can honestly say our recent stay in this apartment was the best experience. The apartment is beautifully furnished for every need and has a luxury feel that does not fail in making you feel relaxed and special. The location is perfect for walking to all areas of Lucca yet is located away from some of the tourist hot spots so you see more of day to day life as well. Everything you need is on the doorstep from sights, great bakeries to fabulous restaurants. The apartment had everything we needed including an owner who was a pleasure to speak to (from booking to leaving) Mrs Sonia really cared about our stay being enjoyable, this for us was the icing on the cake ! We arrived late and Sonia was patiently waiting he gave us a great run down on the apartment and area , she was at hand for any questions through out the stay. We particularly loved the personal touches from Sonia, the beautiful scents in each room, the oranges she gave us from her garden, the effort in making the apartment so beautiful, the place was spotless and the furnishings fabulous. We loved the terrace and spent a lot of the evenings enjoying wine by lamplight, listening to the neighbourhood sounds. In the early afternoons you can sit and enjoy the opera practise occurring from the music school nearby in the street , which really was a wonderful atmospheric treat. The old church across from the apartment is a great addition as one can sit and view it from the terrace, its architecture is breathtaking. From the terrace you can see the Palazzo tower in the distance ,this apartment is in the shadow of Lucca history and as such offers and abundance of riches ! The kitchen was equipped with all you need to cook Italian style. The bedroom was bright and airy with wonderful fabrics. The lounge had a relaxing large sofa and whilst we did not use the television there is the opportunity if you wish. The table in the kitchen area is perfect for sociable dinners. finally the bathroom is new and designed well, the shower was fantastic and spacious. Elevator made things easy so we could have an apartment with view without having to climb any step. I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment and we would return without a shadow of doubt, it is heaven in a heavenly place . Thank you Mrs Sonia for sharing this wonderful place. See you soon!

Hi Sonia we certainly want everyone to know about your wonderful apartment in beautiful Lucca! We had such a great time. From the beginning, when you met us and explained everything, until the end when you kindly arranged for our taxi to the airport, our stay was perfect. The apartment is lovely - well furnished, light and airy, with views of Lucca's rooftops from every window. We had everything we needed, including an elevator, which was so welcome after hours of walking! The location of the apartment is ideal- close to restaurants, groceries and shopping ( and the fine Lucca Italian School), yet there was no noise. We especially loved Nonna Clara, the little trattoria nearby, where the food was delicious and the owner and staff were so friendly. Another thing we loved was our cooking class with Giuseppe. It was one of the highlights of our stay and we thank you for the recommendation. Lucca is such a magical place - seemingly spared from modernization and development. Other than a few very hot days, we couldn't have asked for a more wonderful week. 5 stars! Best regards, Helen and Abby
