About this property

Unique Zen Tiny House 2 mi to Beach ~ Free Bikes! Minutes to Historic Charleston

If you've ever seen Tiny House Nation and thought you would like to experience living in a unique tiny house, then here is your chance. My tiny house isn't on wheels but is a small, modern flat tucked underneath a huge magnolia tree in my backyard. And just under 300 sqft, it roomier than it sounds. Located in a quiet, historic neighborhood that is a super close bike ride to beaches (-2.25 miles) and about a 10-minute drive to downtown Charleston, SC – or if you are adventurous, you can use the complimentary bikes and ride to downtown (approx. 7 miles) and catch the spectacular view over the Ravenel Bridge!

I'm a native Charlestonian with a Charleston lineage that goes back to the 17th Century. I have lived in Mount Pleasant for the majority of my life, and am a freelance graphic designer. I love basically anything that has to do with the ocean and ocean sports. I know a lot about Charleston and the surrounding areas from the best places to eat to finding a hassel-free parking spot downtown. Just hit me up during your stay for suggestions.

Why they chose this property

The tiny house is totally separate from the main house. It's located in a corner of the backyard under a huge magnolia tree and lots of beautiful live oaks which offers privacy, security and a serene atomosphere. There is off-street parking in front of the main house for your car. The location is in the highly-coveted oldest neighborhood in Mt. Pleasant and only a few blocks from the historic district called the "Old Village". There you will find quaint shops, a restaurant, an awesome wine cafe, and Pitt Street Pharmacy with its old-timey Soda Fountain counter. This is a great area to ride the free bikes around and check out all the old houses - some dating from the 1700s, and enjoy the sunsets on the harbor from the Pitt Street Bridge Park.

What makes this property unique

The tiny house is centrally located between the beaches and downtown Charleston – we call it "the right side of town." Also, don't let the square footage scare you, the tiny house is quite roomy and has everything you need considering it's just under 300 square feet. Guests can also enjoy the free use of a couple of cruiser bikes to ride the neighborhood or to the beach. It's also fun to ride over the Ravenel Bridge to downtown Charleston. The tiny house is an easy walk to several nice restaurants/bars just a few blocks away. There are two grocery stores less than half a mile away, Whole Foods is about three miles away, and there is a great place to get a facial or massage just down the street. Also, If you need to do a small load of laundry, I have a washer/dryer that will be available to you if requested. One thing to note is that I have a very friendly standard poodle, Stella, that can be briefly in the yard sometimes. If she sees you, she will bark at you as most dogs do. But she is a lover, not a fighter, so don't let her scare you. However, if you are afraid of dogs, please let me know. I will make sure that she doesn't go outside in the backyard without me with her when you are there.
