About the property

A three-bedroom apartment of 60 m2 in Samoens, Haute Savoie, Rhone-Alps, France – ideal for winter sports, a wide range of summer activities, and family holidays. Sleeps 6 in the three bedrooms, with a sofabed in the lounge for an additional two people.

The apartment is situated on the first floor of the newly constructed ‘Le Clos’ development, just a few minutes’ walk from the centre of the lovely, traditional village of Samoens with a wide range of shops, bars, and restaurants. It is also just a couple of minutes’ walk from the free resort shuttle bus stop.

The apartment is light and airy, with high sloping pine ceilings in the lounge and main bedrooms. It has three bedrooms, one double with a king-size bed, one twin, and one with two full-sized bunks. The owners have gone to considerable lengths to provide high quality mattresses and bedding, to make you stay as comfortable as possible. The two main bedrooms have ‘pont-de-lit’ furniture in pine, providing both a warm, traditional Savoyard feel to the rooms, as well as ample, practical storage space.

The bunk bedroom is a separate room (rather than in an alcove as is often encountered in chalet accommodation), will full-sized bunk beds suitable for adults as well as children.

The lounge provides dining seating for eight people, and has wifi, TV with a decoder (Orange), and a DVD player; the attached kitchen area is well-equipped and includes an oven and dishwasher. The lounge opens onto a large, west-facing balcony overlooking adjacent gardens and with fine views of the mountains.

We discovered Samoens back in 1999, and have been drawn back to the village and the surrounding mountains on many occasions to walk, ski, cycle, and simply enjoy this wonderful area of the Alps.

What makes this apartment unique

This property is an excellent choice for your holiday as it provides comfortable, well-equipped and practical accommodation in a delightful location close to the village amenities and the ski bus.

The village of Samoens and its environs provide excellent facilities for both winter and summer holidays, almost all of which are accessible from the village without the need for a car.

For skiing, there is direct access from the village to the Grand Massif (which includes Flaine), while – for those with their own transport - the Portes du Soleil is only a short drive away and accessible via Les Gets and Morzine.

In the summer, the surrounding hills and mountains provide endless opportunities for walking, mountain biking and road cycling, with the start of the legendary Col de Joux Plane just outside the property. Other activities include rock climbing, via ferrata and parapenting, while the Giffre river is also very popular for rafting.

A park area with a swimming pool, rope ways through the trees, and many other facilities, make this an ideal centre for families with children of all ages. There is a lively market which takes place every Wednesday morning throughout the year, selling a wide range of produce, clothing, crafts, etc.

A cheerful and new apartment. Well kitted out and easy to occupy. Very clean. Short walk to village. Lovely sounds of small river just outside.

The apartment was truthfully represented by the website. The accommodation was immaculate, there was a welcome gift which was a lovely, kind surprise. The staff were extremely helpful. The location is ideal, just a short walk into the town which is picture perfect. The skiing was amazing and the free bus service was fab. We would definitely recommend the apartment for value for money and quality. The owners were very helpful as well when I needed any further information.

Do not hesitate to rent you won’t be disappointed .
