This beautiful 19th century house is located in a lively village on the Canal du Midi. The Vigneron (Winegrower's house) has recently been renovated to a high standard, whilst retaining the charm of many original features. It benefits from a good sized, south facing back garden with olive trees, a grapefruit tree and beautiful planting. The garden is completed by a lawn for play or sunbathing and a newly installed 8.75 x 3.75m heated, salt water pool (seasonal) with an electrically operated safety cover.
Inside, the spacious house has been designed to accommodate up to 12 guests (maximum 10 adults) in comfort. A new summer kitchen has been installed on the ground floor to facilitate outdoor living, dining and cooking on the gas BBQ. Alongside the ground floor sitting / TV / DVD area, you will find games including a pool / table tennis table, air hockey / football tables and a selection of musical instruments. The elegant Grand Salon on the middle floor includes a further sitting area, dining area, and fully equipped kitchen. Over the middle and top floors are located four double / twin rooms along with a huge attic space that has been converted to easily accommodate children or a family of four. The attic space also includes a third sitting area with a very large wall mounted TV, complete with X-box, games and a wide selection of DVDs. The three bath / shower rooms are beautifully renovated in a traditional style (one bathroom on the middle floor, one en-suite shower room on the middle floor, one shower room on the top floor). The house is furnished with a charming mixture of antique and modern pieces. The small details to ensure your comfort throughout your stay have been addressed- luxurious hand, bath and pool tools are provided along with guest robes, slippers and toiletries. Hotel quality bed linen completes the understated bedroom spaces. A welcome basket awaits you.
The attic and the Grand Salon are air-conditioned, the other north facing bedrooms are cooled in the summer months by the beautiful shutters and room fans. Central heating and an open fireplace are available for the cooler months.
