Lakeside Barns is set within 5 acres by the Stunning Mendip Hills AONB and surrounded by beautiful Somerset countryside. Relax by the seated duck pond with a glass of wine and enjoy the peace and quiet. If feeling energetic, fantastic walking and cycling on the doorstep golf course and fishing. Finish with drink at the village pub.
South Hill is the end barn of three. 2 bedrooms, sleeps 4. Spacious open plan living, dining and kitchen area with exposed beams and a vaulted ceiling. Solid oak furniture, tiled floors and wonderful underfloor heating throughout. Free WiFi. Robes and slippers provided, toiletries and towels. Sunny enclosed private patio at rear that is not overlooked.
Plenty of parking right outside the front door. Many beaches nearby, Weston super Mare, Uphill and Brean. Great for exploring Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole, the beautiful Cathedral City of Wells, Glastonbury Tor, Bath, Bristol and Taunton.

Terrific location, beautiful and relaxing.

Comfortable, well laid out property with all you need to make a home from home. Beautiful and peaceful location, lovely outside areas with some good walking close by. Couldnt ask for better from the home or the host. The only dark cloud was the one that bought the rain. Would love to revisit during summer ☀️

Wonderful cottage

Lovely clean cottage, with memory foam beds, comfy sofas, TVs in both bedrooms and a small private patio. Trudy is a very welcoming host, with scones and fresh flowers on arrival. We loved seeing the animals and particularly the very friendly dogs who came to visit. The cottage is an easy journey to beaches and many sites, we particularly enjoyed visiting Tyntesfield and Wells.

Lovely cottage

Took my 83 year old mum for a 4 night break at the end of March we had a really lovely relaxing time with beautiful weather had lunch outside it was so warm, cottage was lovely and comfy all on one level which ticked all the boxes for my mum it was a real home from home would definitely recommend and return, beautiful surroundings and so peaceful. So appreciated the cream tea on arrival after a long drive thank you

We moved to Lakeside Barns in Bleadon in 2002. This property was the dairy of the farm next door, which consisted of an old large grain barn, which is now our home and other outbuildings. Over the years we have slowly renovated, Knoll, Mendip and South Hill Cottage. Bleadon the Somerset levels and Mendip Hills are beautiful, we love it here and its been worth all the hard work.

Why they chose this property

We have both always wanted to live in Bleadon in Somerset, it is such a beautiful area. All our married life we have renovated properties and to find a barn conversion in the heart of Bleadon was fantastic. We are so pleased we have finished the holiday cottages so that now other people can enjoy this peaceful Somerset location. A real escape.

What makes this property unique

While you are staying at Lakeside Barns the one thing you will notice is the lack of noise. At night apart from a hooting owl or call from a fox there is just wonderful silence.
All the properties have outside lighting but because there are not any street lights you can really appreciate the illuminating night sky.

We now have a seating area by our large duck pond, looking out onto the views and paddocks, a perfect place to sit and unwind with a morning cup of coffee or evening glass of wine.
Look out for Coots, Moorhens, Green and Greater Spotted Woodpeckers and if you are really lucky a Kingfisher.
