Lovely Stay in Thessaloniki

My partner and I enjoyed our stay in Thessaloniki. The suite was centrally located and we were able to walk to all of the tourist attractions (White Tower, Umbrellas, Rotunda). Though the street is busy, you cannot hear the music and noise once inside. Apostolos provided very thorough check-in information, we were able to access the suite with no issues. The suite had all of the necessary amenities and was very clean!

Great location. A major problem was street noise. With no a/c needed to keep windows open. Very difficult to sleep with noise level.

Thessoloniki city center apartment—Romeo mini suite

I enjoyed my stay at the Romeo Mini Suite. As mentioned in a number of reviews, the location of the apartment is great—I was able to walk everywhere. Apostolos was very prompt in responding to emails, which was greatly appreciated. He also provided very clear instructions and photos to help with the check-in process because I was arriving later in the evening. As mentioned in other reviews, the mini suite is small, but very efficiently organized. (I especially liked the dish drainer that is fastened to the wall.) I was there by myself, so the size was fine for me. I had a question about operating the washer and Apostolos was literally at the door within two minutes to help me—such attentiveness was a real plus. One thing to keep in mind is that sound can travel from the next apartment. I didn’t hear anything during my first two nights there, but did during my third night (telephone conversations, etc.).

Why they chose this property

The area around Valaoritou St. is an excellent destination if you want to feel the city’s rhythm and experience its nightlife like a true Thessalonian. It is an old commercial area which has gotten new recognition with the numerous bars, beer houses and clubs that have flourished over the past decade in its old, often beautiful neo-classical buildings, making it a hotspot for the young population. The party goes all night long! Among them, you’ll be sure to find your place no matter what your music taste: rock, pop, jazz, alternative, electronic, chill out. And if you’re lucky to be visiting Thessaloniki in the summer, you’ll have a wonderful experience in all the little streets of Valaoritou, Sygrou, Leontos Sofou and Fragon, filled with tables and people having fun as one big friendly crowd. Especially after midnight, more and more people gather as the party starts and most of the bars turn into clubs as the entire place gets louder and cheerful!

What makes this property unique

For those staying at the center, the location is a big plus – not a cent wasted on buses or taxis – you can save it all for drinks, which are quite affordable anyway! Valaoritou is on the southwest of the historical center of Thessaloniki, within walking distance from Aristotle Square (about 300m), just underneath Egnatia St. Getting there on foot should not be a problem; you just take Egnatia Av. and turn south at the height of Sigrou St or Leontos Sofou St. You can always ask for directions or just let the music and the energy in the air take you there!
