Located on the third floor, the apartment has a large open plan kitchen/ living area with French doors leading out to the shaded roof terrace (Loggia) for all year round eating alfresco with the castle in the background. Particularly spectacular at night with the castle lit up.
As with all our apartments there is a modern fitted kitchen with dishwasher, washer/dryer, fan oven, ceramic hob, microwave, coffee machine, toaster, kettle and plenty of utensils.
The living room is equipped with a quality sofa bed so an extra person can be accommodated.

Pont Vieux, Carcassonne centre
Character apartment building close to the river and historic Pont Vieux in Centre of Carcassonne. The building including all communal areas has been totally renovated to offer a selection of five 1 bedroom apartments and one 2 bedroom apartment furnished to a very high standard with new fitted kitchens. The apartments are accessed via a traditional winding French staircase tiled with terre cuite tiles. There are two one bedroom apartments on the first floor and two one bedroom apartments on the second floor. On the third floor, the two bedroom apartment has its own shaded roof terrace for outdoor eating with a lovely view of the castle.
We offer discounts for bookings of more than one apartment and also for longer stays. Each of the one bedroom apartments are equipped with dining furniture for four people. Friends can book two one bedroom apartments on the same floor so they have their own space and en suite bathroom whilst being able to eat and socialize together.
Rue du Pont Vieux is a prime location as it is located within a few minutes walk of Carcassonne town centre and Carcassonne Tourist Office. Two UNESCO World Heritage sites- Carcassonne Cite and the Canal du Midi are also within a few minutes walk from rue du Pont Vieux.
We wanted to keep to a French theme when naming the apartments so we decided to name them after some of Napoleon Bonaparte's most famous Peninsula Marshalls - Ney, Mortier, Suchet, Marmont and Massena.

We moved to this region 15 years ago from Herefordshire in the Uk.
We fancied a change as Jason was often away from home with his work in sales and contracting. We have renovated several properties in and around Carcassonne for rental which we take great pleasure from meeting guests from all over the world.
Annette also has a small but very busy hair salon in our village of Escueillens in the beautiful Razes countryside just outside Carcassonne.
We have three children, James (22) , Charlotte (19) and Samuel (17) . Our children often help us out with changeovers during holidays and weekends.

We selected this property from local knowledge and advice from a Notaire in Carcassonne.
It is the ideal location in Carcassonne between the Cite and the town centre. We wanted to buy a building to renovate and to retain character but also to modernise.
Having heard so many horror stories of rental properties with dodgy electrics and plumbing and poorly maintained communal areas, we realised that renovating an apartment building from scratch meant we could ensure all of our properties meet with current norms and hopefully avoid maintenance issues which might affect guests.
We carried out a lot of the work ourselves, hence it took us several years to complete but we have achieved our aim of providing modern, well equipped apartments with character.

Lovely apartment in a great location for exploring Carcassonne's Bastide and Cité areas
An excellent experience from start to finish. Jason met us at the airport and showed us around the apartment, before dropping us off at the supermarket to stock up. He also gave us some great recommendations for restaurants. The apartment itself is full of character, with lots of lovely old beams, but also modern and contemporary and well equipped, with very comfortable beds. It was also spotlessly clean. The covered roof terrace with views across the rooftops and up to the Cité is lovely. We enjoyed exploring all areas of Carcassonne (Cité, Bastide, Aude river and Canal du Midi) on foot; everything is easily accessible from the apartment and there are trains/buses if you want to travel further afield. We would thoroughly recommend trying La Crêperie Le Blé Noir for excellent pancakes; the owner is a real character too! We needed to pre-book a table, even in October. At La Grande Bouffe we had the best steak ever, cooked over an open fire; the meat was simply presented, very tender and full of flavour. We also visited Au Lard et au Cochon, but found the food rather fatty and a bit lacking in flavour there. L'Auberge des Lices in the Cité has a more formal atmosphere; the homemade cassoulet is excellent (as was all the other food there). Carcassonne itself is characterful and quirky, and the famous fortified city and castle with their fairytale appearance are well worth a visit.
Wonderful apartment in excellent position
My husband and I have just returned from a three night stay at this apartment which was wonderful. Jason the very nice owner met us at the airport and also returned us to airport at end at no charge - it was much appreciated.
The apartment is very well equipped, well laid out and equipped with a lovely outdoor covered seating area. It was extremely clean and very comfortable and had everything that was needed. It was on the 3rd floor with no lift which was not a problem for us (and neither of us are either unfit or fit!) and they were gentle steps.
It was in a very good position just near the old bridge that crosses over into the old city but equally close to walking the other direction towards the canal de midi etc.
There are loads of restaurants in both directions and a very good one just across from the apartment called Les Mets-Tisses which we highly recommend - we had three wonderful courses and a bottle of wine for £57 and the food was of excellent standard with good service and nice decor/seating.
I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a well positioned and nicely equipped apartment in Carcassonne.
Excellent apartment with fantastic view of castle from balcony. Well equipped, secure and perfect.
Very modern. Clean, well equipped with lovely balcony and relaxing view of Castle and Dome. Everything within walking distance. Owner Jason is very helpful and a pleasure to meet. Cannot find fault with anything given we stayed for three months from Feb to April.
Very nice apartment & perfectly placed to vist both the old (Cite) & new parts of Carcassone. Owner jason is English & was very helpful, even met us at the airport & saved us a place in the queue to pick up our hire car!
Aparment itself was exaclty as described & well maintained. Particulary like the roof terrace to sit outside for breakfast or drinks in the evening.
If you happen to view the street on Google streetview, dont be put off by the apparent outside appearance, many french streets appear a little less than pristine from the outside but inside all is very nice indeed.
Parking too was never a problem, unlike the UK & nearly always free too. We managed to park in the strret every day except one when we parked just at the ned of the road in the free carpark.
Very good internet connection in the apartment too so able to watch UK TV on a tablet with ease; if you bring a sutialbe cable you could connect your phone to the TV too ;)
All told we had a great time & would reccomend Apartment Ney without hesitation.
Excellent apartment in a picturesque city
Apartment Ney (top floor) is modern and well equipped apartment, bedrooms are nice sized and beds are comfortable. This apartment has a balcony for sitting or eating outside, with a view of the medieval cite and roof tops. The location is well positioned between the medieval cite and the town with easy access to the many restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. We enjoyed our stay there. Carcassonne is a perfect base for investigating the country side around with a short drive to the many coastal towns as well as Spain.
A Perfect Holiday
Apartment Ney was the perfect base for a wonderful week in Carcassonne. It is a beautiful, bright apartment fitted to a high standard. The roof terrace was lovely with its view of La Cite. It is ideally situated for easy walks to all parts of Carcassonne. I would certainly recommend it to anyone.

Located in Carcassonne Centre. Ideal location between the Centre Ville & the Historic Medieval Cite (largest castle in Europe). Close to many restaurants & bars catering for all tastes & budgets. Everything in walking distance, no car necessary, although free parking nearby. 10 min from Carcassonne Airport with regular Ryanair flights. 40 min from Toulouse Airport (easyjet, Flybe, BA). Mediterranean coast & beaches 40 min drive. Excellent golf course 5 min. Numerous picturesque circulade Villages & Cathar Castles under an hour. Upcoming wine region with delicious discoveries on your doorstep. Leisurely cruising, walking or cycling along the Canal du Midi. Ideal central location for exploration or house hunting.

Golf: Carcassonne golf course is a five minute drive from the apartments. A very scenic and enjoyable course to play.
There are several other courses within an hours drive from Carcassonne.
The apartment owner is familiar with a couple of the courses so please don't hesitate to ask for more information.
Ski: Excellent value for money sk-ing in the Pyrenees. Nearest resort within 2 hours.
