Overview

About the property

Calton Lookout | 1 Bed Holiday Rental with Spacious Sundeck

The apartment is accessed through the main entrance and back out again via steps to the sundeck. The northerly views take in some of central Bath with the Abbey, and surrounding hills as a centre-piece along with pretty terraced gardens below and tree-tops above.

The living room doors are bi-fold and in fine weather, the whole area can be opened up to enjoy the scenic setting and the whole apartment has been tiled throughout with underfloor heating controlled independantly in each room. There is a vast comfortable grey sofa (which is a sofa bed) with a plump footstool in front of a large TV with Sky and Netflix. Outside is a sofa for 2 along with 2 footstools and a table and 4 chairs for alfresco dining.

A spacious contemporary fitted kitchen has smart grey granite tops and a white extending dining table with 4 chairs. The kitchen has an induction 4 ring hob, a microwave, large fridge and separate freezer, a small dishwasher, a washing machine combined with dryer and plenty of cooking equipment and a portable radio.

The glamorous bedroom in grey and canary yellow has a 5’ king size bed, a large wardrobe with shelf over and a large chest of drawers. There is a small recessed cupboard with utility items. The glossy en-suite is smartly tiled top-to-toe in grey and has a large walk-in shower, a small hand-basin with storage over, a WC and a recessed cupboard for larger utility items.

The place was great. The loved the view of the city and the close proximity to downtown. Loved the big patio and everything about the flat. Highly recommended.

Bath city high street is within a 5-10 minute stroll and has everything you need including Marks and Spencers food shop. In addition, the local facilities in Widcombe Parade around the corner are very good and include a newsagent, chemist, a couple of coffee shops, hairdressers, florists, and several pubs, restaurants and Indian, Chinese and American takeaways. The nearest supermarket is Sainsbury's or otherwise Marks and Spencers on the high street. There is also a coop food shop in Widcombe parade. The City has many historic sites and museums and galleries, as well as great shops, bars and restaurants and is easily accessed from the end of Calton Road, down lyncombe hill road and across the road and foot path leading you to the Bath Spa train and bus stations at the bottom of the high street. Bath Narrowboats rent barges and bikes to explore the city or the Kennet and Avon canal and towpath. After all the activity, pamper yourselves in the piping hot pools of the Thermae Spa, or enjoy a night at The Theatre Royal or Komedia Comedy Club.

The property comes with a parking permit for 1 car allowing you to park in resident bays on the road outside or on the neighbouring streets. Alternatively the Bath Spa train and coach stations are less than a 5 minute walk away.
