Lovely peaceful place
It's a great place to stay and their well behaved dog is so friendly. Henrique is so helpful. We used it as an overnight en route to the ferry in Santander.

Rustic property in a Fantastic setting
The location of the property is superb within a valley with fantastic outlook and plenty of places to go for a walk. The place was clean and had a lovely charm about it with a basic kitchen. We only stayed for one night and wished we could have stayed longer. It would be great for a long weekend stay if you want to get away from it all and have some peace and quiet. The owner was very helpful.

An oasis of happiness in a troubled world
Henrique, Zi and their family and friends were lovely. The place is a reflection of their kindness and generosity. If you want authentic rural living with all your basic needs more than fully met, this is an ideal location. If you want five star luxury it may not be for you. We loved it, as did our dog. The area is beautiful with many great places to explore. We spent 11 idyllic nights in our little house and feel we have barely scratched the surface of the area. The people, food, wine, flora and fauna were a delight and will ensure our return in the Spring. Also, it was so easy to maintain social distancing whilst enjoying meeting a small number of new people.

About the host

I was born in this area, amongst green mountains and valleys, crystal clear springs and streams. Surrounded by simple welcoming and peaceful people. Mosteirinho is a rural paradise and I am a translator turned host with a passion for Nature, trying to pass this on to my children. I respect my guests privacy and I hope my guests will take fond and long-lasting memories of this little paradise in the Iberian Peninsula.

Why they chose this property

I will let my guests' opinion speak for me about this place that I love so much;
"This place is gold, tucked away in the mountains at the end of a gravel road, perfect to get away from it all. Lovely furnished with great attention to detail, and Henrique is super friendly and helpful." Christoph from Germany

Marina, Portugal.

"Best kept secret, a treasure to share though. Henrique and Lisa are great hosts who make you feel very welcome, and took us to the swimming holes nearby..." Eveline, Holland.

"Henrique was an amazing host, with great communication and super attentive communication. The place was above my ecxpectations, a paradise for peace and relaxing, a house with delightful details, great taste, a breathtaking view and a night sky more adequate in a surrealistic painting. :) It was a perfect romantic escapade. Highly recommended, will be back when we can. Thank You!!!!!" Tomas, Portugal.

"Henrique's property is indeed magical and isolated - it's one of those few remaining places where the only human-created noise is from an occasional airplane in the distance or a local tractor chugging by on a nearby hill. The persistent sounds come from animals, insects and the gurgling spring that provides drinking water a short walk from the front door. Heavenly." Ian, Estonia

"Cet endroit est juste incroyable ! Reculé de tout, en pleine nature ! Dépaysement garanti ! Parfait pour la balade et le repos ! Merci Henrique". Thibault, France
