About the property

Spacious apartment with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen and large sunny living.

This spacious town center apartment comprises of two good size bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen and large sunny living/dining room which leads onto a small balcony. The property is located in one of the traditional narrow streets just off the picturesque main church square (Plaza de la Constitution) in the center of Fuengirola.

This spacious north and south-facing second floor apartment is in a three-storey modern block of six apartments with lift. The master double bedroom has bedside table, wardrobes and an en suite bath/shower with washbasin & bidet.

The second bedroom has twin beds, wardrobe and bedside table. There is air-conditioning in both the bedrooms. The kitchen is fully-fitted with fridge freezer, gas hob, electric oven, microwave, toast, kettle and utility room with washing machine. The living dining room is very spacious has flat screen TV, free-to-view satellite, DVD player + movie library and there are sliding doors onto the balcony.

Additional area details: the nearby Los Boliches offers a host of bars and restaurants and is only a 15 minute walk away along the promenade.

There are 2 water parks on the coast; Mijas aqua park and Torremolinos aqua park. A popular day trip is to Gibraltar to see the southernmost point of Europe and go up the rock to see the famous apes. There is also the possibility of day trips to Granada to see the Alhambra palace or to Seville. Mijas village is only a short bus ride. Mijas is a typical white Spanish village with panoramic view over the coast.

Fuengirola is the terminus of the Malaga-Fuengirola railway. Fuengirola is a local transport hub with excellent bus and train (via malaga) services throughout the region. Trains to and from Malaga and the airport are every half hour and take about forty minutes. From Malaga you can catch the high-speed ave to Cordoba or Seville (1 hour) or Madrid (2 hours). A car is really only necessary to freely explore the Andalusian countryside.

Costa del sol: the Costa del sol (coast of the sun) runs for nearly 200km along the Mediterranean sea in the provinces of Granada, Malaga and Cadiz. Protected from the north wind by a chain of mountains that reaches down to the shoreline in places providing hidden coves and grottoes.

The mild climate and scant rainfall produce semi tropical vegetation with palm trees, cypresses, oleander and hibiscus. This wonderful climate and the proximity of such varied terrain, are undoubtedly amongst the main attractions of the Costa del sol. Miles and miles of beautiful, sandy beaches and some of Europe's most exclusive marina’s, Benalmadena marina, Puerto Banus and Puerto Cabopino to name but three.

A series of lively seaside towns, starting with the principal city of Malaga heading south-west along the coast, through Benalmadena, Fuengirola, Marbella, San Pedro, Estepona, Sabinillas, Manilva, Sotogrande and finally on to Gibraltar.

Great accommodation, great location!

  • 5 of 5

As regular visitors to Fuengirola, we always seek good standard accommodation close to the centre of town. Apt Calle Captitan was by some way the best apartment we have stayed in! The facilities were excellent and just 2 minutes walk to a range of bars and restaurants.

The apartment itself was immaculate and would easily accommodate a family of four or two couples as there are two bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The kitchen was well equipped and had a washing machine which was an added bonus when travelling with just hand luggage. On arrival we were met personally by a very informative young lady, who assured us that if we had any problems that we could phone her to sort it out. Thankfully we did not contact her at all during our stay.

The weather was kind to us despite it being November (20 c) so we were able

to fit in 5 rounds of golf! If you do play, the apartment is just round the corner from Elite golf services, who will pre book tee times for you at a very competitive price.

On a final note if you want a recommendation for somewhere to eat, go to La Farolas (8 minutes walk) excellent food, lovely atmosphere and not expensive!

Excellent location, minutes from all you need

  • 4 of 5

Myself and my family stayed at this apartment for 7 days at the start of August 2011, i found it a good place to stay, the flat was very clean and tidy on arrival and was easy walking distance from the train station even with our luggage.

Madeleine met us at the apartment and showed us everything, there is also a booklet with thigs to see and do which is quite informative.

The living room was nice and comfortable to relax in before you hit the beach, 2 mins away, didnt use the kitchen or heating except for chilling the drinks but it all seemed to be in good order and well stocked with everything you need

The bedrooms were nice and clean, got a bit stuffy at times but once you put the air con on it soon changed to be very cool and fresh.

The en-suite in the main bedroom is brilliant as it means you have a toilet each as the twin room just use the normal toilet which is just outside thier door.

Not much of a balcony, only good for stepping out for a fag i would imagine.

I had a small problem with the bed, it was only a double bed, which as i am 6'2" is not perfect, it also has a foot board which stopped me just hanging my feet out the bottom, i had to kind of lie diagonal which was took a little bit of getting used to but certainly didnt spoil my sleep, or my wife's so i guess it wasnt that big a problem.

The only other slight problem was with the plumbing in the en-suite. Whenever anybody upstairs used any water you could hear the water running down the pipework, it wasnt exceptionally loud but it did seem louder than usual.

The location of the apartment is excellent, as you leave just walk along the road to the right for about 100m, turn down the 1st lane on the left and that is you straight into all the local bars restuarants and cafe's. This area was brilliant and you could stay here for weeks and not get sick of it, there are so many optoins for eating, drinking and entertainment.

There are a couple of bars/clubs directly below the apartment, this set the alarm bells off as i thought it would be very loud and noisy at all hours in the morning. To be honest i could hear a little when i was in the living room, and we were out most off the time anyway, but when you are in the bedrooms at the back i couldnt hear a thing, my wife is a very light sleeper but still slept well although she did say that the slight drone of the air con cancelled out any outside noise.

A nice apartment with an excellent locations

Central Fuengirola

I booked this apartment for family and got the opportunity to have a look round. It was nice and spacious for a two bedroomed apartment and ideally situated if you want to be in the centre of town.

It was nicely furnished and was very light. Although the balcony is tiny is would be pleasant for two people to sit and watch the world go by.

The kitchen is well equipped and has a very useful little utility area which in spanish tradition is open air. Idea for drying washing.

It is literally a couple of minutes to get to the beach and a lot of restaurants and bars. For those who like good food at a very good price Salamanca a few doors away is excellent. about 9 euros for three courses including a bottle of wine per two people. I also love La solera which is a few doors away to the left a little bit more expensive but a lovely atmosphere.

The only down side is you need to remember to take rubbish down to the sea front and put it into one of the silver bins.

I would definatley recommend this property and would look at booking it for myself if I need somewhere to stay

A Gem Of An Apartment.

  • 5 of 5

This apartment was top class. It had everything you would need for a great holiday. It had two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It had a lovely sitting room, dining room and kitchen. It had everything you could possibly want in an apartment. The decor and furniture was of a very high standard. There were lots of cleaning products in the kitchen which were very handy. The apartment was in a quiet street but close to the beach, shops and restaurants.I would highly recommend it for couples or family.

We met Madeline on arrival and she was most helpful and very friendly.
