Get together with friends

  • 5 of 5

We were a party of 13, meeting up from several locations. The location of the house was perfect, but it could do with a sign down the drive and at the house so you knew you'd arrived! We had two nights at the Dingle, and had a very comfortable stay. The kitchen was very well equipped with plenty of large pans and several ovens making cooking easy. The large fridge freezer was good for storing large amounts of food (although several missing shelves in the fridge and no salad drawers-also missing meant it all had to be piled up.) The lounge space was brilliant with plenty of sofas and loads of windows all the way round made it really light.

The bedrooms worked (we had all the beds set up as singles) and were very comfortable. The shower in the bathroom at the far end didn't work properly (temperature went cold all the time), but we managed.

We had two great walks, one from the cottage and one from Chipping Norton which were beautiful.

Highly recommend Spice of India who delivered a fabulous curry on Fri night, excellent value and great food. (pre ordered in the week).

Hot tubs were gorgeous and used loads. Having a hot tub was such a lovely addition to the property and really made it perfect.

All in all a great house, with flexible sleeping arrangements and good social spaces.perfect central location in close proximity to a town if you need shops and pubs etc.

Great stay in a lovely country home for 12+ dogs

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at The Dingle (weekend with the family to celebrate a 70th birthday), the house had the space we needed, close to the Cotswolds and local sites of interest and had the feel of a home away from home we wanted.

A couple of small points to raise though: the lack of a garden space was felt during our stay; most of us weren't happy with the cleanliness of the hot tubs (though the rest of the house was quite clean); and the knives in the kitchen weren't sharp making them a hassle/unsafe to use.

Overall though we really enjoyed the stay and would recommend to others. Thank you!

comfortable and warm

  • 4 of 5

The property could have been cleaner - the grill pan was full of congealed fat and there was a dirty sock in one of the bedrooms.

I do not think it is acceptable to have a cat using the property without this being made explicit in the property details - my 4 year old granddaughter is allergic to cats so had to visit the pharmacy for antihistamine which rather spoiled her, and her parents, weekend.

An ideal summer retreat

  • 5 of 5

We found the Dingle to be a fabulous warm welcoming house with many interesting nooks and crannies for the children to explore. The decor was quirky and tastefully done. The hot tub was a boon and once in we just could not get the teenagers out.

It is not often all the family get together at the same time so memories of our stay at the Dingle will last a long time. We all can thoroughly recommend.

Two night stay

  • 4 of 5

A perfect location for family and friends to gather from all over the UK. A welcoming host and full access to the surrounding farmland to walk the dogs. The homely Interior of the house works well with plenty of space. Lots of cooking utensils, plates , cups etc for large groups and other facilities such as washing machine if required. The hot tubs were greatly enjoyed and the underfloor heating and fire provided warmth and relaxation . The exterior of the cottage could be tidier and safer for small children and dogs, but we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely consider it again for another get together.

Perfect countryside break

  • 4 of 5

This property was perfect for a short stay in the Cotswolds. Enough space for the 10 of us - we had freedom to have our own space, or be together in the large communal spaces. A well-equipped kitchen, amazing hot-tub [you can star-gaze whilst in it at night], comfy beds. The aesthetic matches the pictures to a T. Short walk to beautiful scenery - and Sainsbury's is only a small drive away. Cannot recommend this more - excellent value for money when there's a large group.
