Comfortable, spacey, fully equipped apartment in Greater Vancouver

This large apartment (size 1100 ft² /102 m²) is located in the city of Coquitlam, 30 minutes drive away from Vancouver. Stay close to everything what the city of Vancouver has to offer, while enjoying the peacefulness and serenity of suburban living and outdoor activities of the Vancouver coast.

Transportation to Vancouver: You can drive, take SkyTrain or West Coast Express to downtown Vancouver.

15 minutes walking distance to Skytrain Station (Coquitlam central or Inlet Centre Station.

Grouse Mountain, Cypress, and Seymour skiing areas are within 35-50 minutes drive. Travel time to the Whistler Olympic sites is about 2 ½ hours.

By staying here, you will not only get more then the Vancouver experience, but you will also save a bunch at the cost of Vancouver accommodation.

Perfect place to stay when traveling, relocating or working in Vancouver or visiting area of Coquitlam, Port Moody, Surrey, Burnaby. Close to Simon Fraser University, Douglas College.

- Capilano Suspension Bridge, North Vancouver -39 km away/35 min drive min

- Grouse Mountain – 42 km/40 min drive

- Stanley Park – 43km/40 min -one of the largest city parks in the world, including 150 year old forest, 8.85 km of seawall. Park has something for everyone- walking, biking, rollerblading, gardens, beaches, historic Totems, and Vancouver Aquarium.

- Hell’s Gate Airtram, Fraser Canyon -190 km – 2 ½ hours drive – Highway 1

- Harrison Hot Springs – 100 km – 1 hour 36 minutes

If you are driving through Canada from Bunff/Calgary/Edmonton to Vancouver – our suite would be a perfect spot to stop -10 km/14 min from Highway 1

Summer activities:: Tennis courts are located 5 minutes walking distance from the apartment with neighbouring swimming pool open all summer.

If you prefer Olympic sized swimming pool, wave pool, water slides and therapeutic whirlpools you can visit City Centre Aquatic Complex located 5 minutes driving from the apartment.

Some of the parks and beaches located close by: (travel time from the apartment added by each destination)

Belcarra Regional Park with Sasamat Lake in Port Moody located 16 minutes drive from the apartment (one of the warmest lakes in Greater Vancouver ) and Buntzen Lake in Anmore (19 minutes drive)

In summer day’s you can relax at Sasamat Lake’s White Pine Beach. You can relax at the beach, swim in clean water, go fishing or circle Belcarra’s Sasamat Lake. The Sasamat Lake Loop (1.5 miles/2.5 km return) will take you around the lake from White Pine Beach going south to a floating boardwalk that crosses the lake back to the beach.

In addition to a nice beach, there are a few hiking trails around the Buntzen Lake.

You can choose from 4 to 12 hours hiking time. Trails are used also by Mountain Bikers and Equestrians.

Mundy Park the largest park in Coquitlam (176 hectares/435 acres) has many walking trails that pass the park's two lakes - Mundy Lake and Lost Lake. The park features outdoor swimming pool, playgrounds, picnic area, (12 minutes drive)

Other attractions:

Boulevard Casino in Coquitlam - the largest casino in the province of British Columbia with Red Robinson Show Theatre. Some past performances included artists like Jay Leno, Bill Maher, Julio Iglesias and more. (18 minutes drive)

What makes this house unique

I purchased this property because it is about 30 minutes away from Vancouver. It is great location in quiet neighborhood. Close to downtown and close to nature.

Great place for a family

Our family of four (two adults, two children ages 8 and 12) enjoyed staying in this apartment. It was quiet, well located, clean and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable as was the futon/sofa bed. Having a kitchen with a full range and fridge was very helpful as we could prepare our own meals and did not have to eat out unless we wanted to. The kitchen was stocked with place settings, pots, knives, etc. (the basics). It is close to things to do in Coquitlam (aquatic center, local parks), Port Moody (parks, brew pubs), and a bit farther away, Vancouver. Teresa did a brief walk through to show us where things were located, how the heat worked, etc., and then gave us privacy, which was appreciated. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect for 3 generations!

Traveling with our adult children and our grand baby this suite was perfect for us. Immaculately clean, stocked with everything we needed, spacious and conveniently located. Loved the friendly and helpful hosts who even made sure the driveway was shovelled in a surprise snow storm! Would definitely book again.

Homey, clean, comfortable, just right

Teresa is very welcoming. She gives a complete tour of the suite so you know where everything is found. The apartment is very clean and very comfortable. Easy to cook in the kitchen. Bedrooms have lots of closet space, beds are comfortable. The garden is beautiful and there are chairs and a table for eating outside. Very handy to grocery shopping, restaurants. Quite easy to drive into Vancouver. It was just perfect for us. We will be back.

The apartment was perfect. Lovely and clean. In quiet location. Beds are very comfortable. Parking.

We stayed for 14 nights in July/August 2016. The apartment had a lovely garden with table and chairs outside to sit and enjoy meal or drink. A short walk to local shops, diners, coffee shops etc. A 15 min walk to local bus /train to Downtown Vancouver.

The local Mall has a variety of shops and a great food court.

On Falcon Drive is a nice pub, the Frog and Nightgown, they do lovely meals and have various entertainents on through the week, like live bands and karoke nights.

There are local walks and nature spotting in the area, we walked the Coquitlam Crunch, which starts at the local park near the apartment, the walk takes you up the nearby mountain, you can continue from the walk to other walks through the woods and hills.

Teresa and Alberto were very helpful during our stay.

Highly recommended for a stay in Coquitlam, Canada.

We used the local transport, buying a Day Pass for $9.75 at the London Drugs store in the mall, this let us use the buses, trains and Sea Bus all day, hopping on and off at various locations, a great way to explore the local area and go into Downtown Vancouver centre.

In Downtown at Canada Place the visitors centre was fantastic for help and advice, we booked tickets through them to Grouse Mountain and this was a little cheaper.

Gas Town is very interesting and good for holiday pressies.

Very Comfortable Accomodations

We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment. The accommodation was very clean and well maintained. The owner Teresa met us when we arrived and showed us how everything worked. Great customer service. This is a good location as we have family in the area. Very good access to Trans Canada Highway. I would recommend this property to friends and relatives. The accommodations were much better than a hotel room. We would stay again when in the area.

Excellent vacation home!

I loved staying at this place. With my large family, there was enough room for everyone. Well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and great location with nearby shopping and dining.

And best of all, the hostess, Theresa was very accommodating and helpful. Thank you very much!

We are definitely coming back next time we are in Vancouver.
