About this property

Family-friendly cottage on Radøy, a half-mile drive north of Bergen. The cabin is well located, with great views of the sea and nature.

Three bedrooms with a total of 6 beds. There is also 1 folding cot and 1 folding extra bed in the cabin.
The cabin is from 1960, but is completely renovated 2015-2017.

New modern kitchen with stove, microwave, dishwasher, fridge / freezer and coffee maker. New modern furniture and cable TV and wifi / wireless network. Modern bathroom with toilet and shower, washing machine. Large terrace with great views, outdoor furniture, barbecue and whirlpool / Jacuzzi.

Short distance to drive to Bergen, Voss, Sogn and Hardanger, with all the attractions available. But also in Nordhordland you will find many beautiful places where you can find peace and have a rich or relaxing holiday, as you wish. Good bathing and fishing opportunities, both in freshwater and sea.

Beautiful Cottage in Stunning, Tranquil Location

The cottage is very well maintained and sits in a beautiful spot, away from roads, onlookers and any noise. My husband and I stayed here along with our 8 month old son, and 2 friends and we all had plenty of space. The property was well equipped and child friendly.

Modern spacious house.

This modernised,spacious ,detached house is set in a quiet area on the side of a bank overlooking the fairway out to sea. A sun terrace and spa pool add to the experience(though it rained for the majority of our stay!). The house was ideal as a base for us to explore the western isles of Norway. As the property is accessed via a sloping bank with gravel in places it is not a suitable place for those with reduced mobility however we would recommend it as a perfect property otherwise.

Idyllic house

My self, my husband, and our 3 children spent 10 days at this house. The property was immaculately clean and had every home comfort you could wish for. The situation of the house gave us amazing views from the balcony, and it was so relaxing and peaceful to sit and marvel at the views. The Hot tub was a much welcomed treat at the end of our days out and was the icing on the cake to this property. Jostein and his wife were always on hand, but never obtrusive. We spent wonderful days out in : Bergen, Flam, Lygra, canoeing at Bruvoll, and took a wonderful boat trip from Bergen up Oysterfjord, as well as doing some of the local walks from the house's information pack. All in all, everything you could wish for in a holiday home.

Perfect peace

This is a clean, well equipped cabin with gorgeous views over the fjord on which various craft occasionally pass quietly by. A well stocked supermarket is a short drive away, and the city of Bergen is only 45 minutes away. The lovely hosts were just a phone call away, and made sure we had everything we needed but otherwise left us alone. The hot tub is glorious; really powerful jets. I wouldn't recommend this place for anyone elderly or infirm; access to the property includes a fairly steep unmade path. We had a wonderful peaceful week in this lovely quiet location. I would thoroughly recommend it.

Perfect getaway

We stayed in Jostein’s cottage this week and it was absolutely lovely! The cottage is renovated to a very high standard, with a nice kitchen, a big patio with a jacuzzi and a view to die for! The location is great - very quiet, peaceful and having a great vibe. Bergen is just 30 minutes away, but when you’ve had enough of hustle and bustle, you return to a quiet gateway to unwind in a jacuzzi! I would definitely recommend this place for those who want to enjoy a holiday among the fjords.
