Direct sea access and a magical location at the furthest end of the Sorrento peninsula makes Villa del Sole a very special place to stay.

Situated just 500 m from the charming village of Marina della Lobra and around 1 km from the centre of Massa Lubrense, Villa del Sole is a dream villa if you prefer to be slightly off-the-beaten track. The area consists of several hamlets connected by narrow roads that wind between ancient farms and olive and lemon groves. The coastline is made up of small bays with sparkling clear water, incorporating the Natural Marine Reserve of Punta Campanella. Nearby Sorrento (4 km), which is busier and more touristy, provides a livelier contrast.

The spacious villa (250 m²) is set right on the seafront, with steps down to a public area where you have use of two sun loungers and four deck chairs. Entrance to the villa is on the ground floor which comprises a large living room with a dining table for 8, chairs, a sofa, TV and air conditioning/heating. This leads through to the well-equipped kitchen (with washing machine, dishwasher and fridge-freezer) and, via French windows, on to the first furnished terrace, which provides spectacular views of the sea and Capri. Stairs (15 steps each) lead down to floors -1 and -2, which have their own sea view terrace with a table and chairs.

Stunning view!

It has a stunning view. Well laid out. Lots of room and privacy. If we were to stay here again, we would take the train and hire a driver. Amore was very helpful in helping arrange transportation. Alex was very welcoming. Our only complaint was it could have been cleaner, but that may be a cultural thing. We would recommend this property.

Amazing location and view

This is a beautiful, very spacious villa with incredible views. The direct access to the beach is fantastic and only 10 minutes from the marina and its amenities. We greatly enjoyed our stay there. The only thing less pleasant is the parking. Many motorbikes and cars park anywhere without being allowed in front of the private parking

So horrible we never checked in: aggressive and scary 'manager'

Despite many excellent VRBO experiences, we never checked into this property and have been unable to reach the management. We found this property in such appalling shape an so different from its listing that we found another place to stay at the very last minute and left. We had to change plans completely for this trip as a result. We are requesting a full refund for this stay through VRBO. --The property was not anything like it was described in the listing --There was garbage strewn around the front doorway, chicken bones, old food, and open garbage bags --The property smelled moldy and foul --The person who met us, Francisco, was dismissive of our concerns, then became angry, then became very aggressive, including to our children, and drove off without resolution after he understood that we would not check in to the property --When we asked if the garbage could be cleaned up or if he had a broom, he simply pulled a broom from the closet and left it leaning against a wall for us to clean up the garbage with --Fransisco's tour of the property began with him telling us that we may have trouble with the electricity, and if we did we should check the electrical panels --One of the toilets was full of hair and had not been cleaned --There were dozens of mosquitoes inside the property --Light bulbs were missing from lamps --The air conditioning in two of the rooms did not work --There was a chair in the living room with no cover on it, just cushion foam --The tiny parking space was not possible to park our vehicle in A disaster. The worst experience we could imagine.
