This comfortable, cosy cottage is surrounded by gardens, with hills beyond.Nearby is The Glenlivet Distillery, it is in a Dark Sky Park and the Speyside Way passes directly by (ideal for walkers). Also, the Glenlivet Bike Trails are close by.
There is ample parking and well behaved pets are welcome.
The accommodation is fully furnished with central heating, and consists of a double/twin room with en-suite bath/shower room and adjoining small single bedroom, 3 other twin rooms, and a double room with third bed, a bathroom and a shower room and 2 separate WCs. There is also a small 'through' bunk room with 2 beds.
The fully equipped kitchen has an AGA and adjoining utility room, and is next to a large dining/reception area. The upstairs sitting room has an open log fireplace and Sky TV.
It is self-catering, but The Croft Inn is a 5 min drive away, and there are other good eateries within half an hours drive. Local shops/Post Offices at Tomintoul / Ballindalloch are 10/15 mins away. Elgin is the nearest town, with large supermarkets etc which deliver, 40 mins away.
The cottage is on the Whisky Trail, near The Glenlivet Distillery which is in The Cairngorm National Park, on The Glenlivet Estate which is owned by The Crown. The Queens summer residence - Balmoral is only 1hr away by car.
There are a large range of activities available nearby,
including walking, cycling, fishing, shooting stalking, golf, gorge walking, coasteering, and skiing in the season.
The Tomintoul Spur of The Speyside Way walking trail passes right by the property, and we are also within the newly designated Tomintoul and Glenlivet Cairngorms Dark Sky Park, the most northerly in the world.
Local sightseeing includes : castles, ruins, mountains, whisky distilleries, factories making Scottish goods, local cottage crafts, villages and much more.
The beautiful coastline by The Moray Firth is just an hours drive away, and so are the cities of Aberdeen and Inverness - with Loch Ness just beyond the latter.
