Penarrow House is set in a superb waterside location with views over the wide Fal Estuary known as Carrick Roads, on the edge of open countryside yet only a stone's throw from Mylor Harbour, with two sailing schools, restaurant, café/shop and Yacht Clubs. From the shingle beach, right in front of the house, there is dinghy launching at all states of the tide and marina facilities for larger craft in the harbour close by. Falmouth and Truro are five miles and eight miles respectively from Mylor Harbour.

Very comfortable house with lovely views

We had a wonderful stay. Quiet spot at the end of the road. The house is well maintained and has lots of room, has a well equipped kitchen and comfortable sitting areas. The bedrooms, dinning rooms and patios look out over the harbour and gardens. Many things to do here. You can walk your boats out to the water and there is a rental place just down the street (stand up paddle boards also). We walked to Flushing and took the ferry to Falmouth, explored the old cemetary and church and walking paths here, and visited St. Ives and Perranporth beaches (shops, art, restaurants). We also went to a performance at the Outdoor Minack Theater. Highly recommended.

Great house, perfect location

This is a very comfortable and spacious house with lovely gardens in a fabulous location right on Mylor Point next to Restronguet Sailing Club. It is right on the beach with beautiful views right across the harbour. It's also very well equipped, boasting a table tennis table, barbecue, wifi, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher and everything else you could want in the kitchen. Highly recommended.

Car: necessary

Coast/Beach:

There are coastal walks directly from the house.

Sailing is available in Carrick Roads.

Surfing on the north coast is 40mins drive away.

Travel:

Newquay airport is a 50min drive away. Car hire would be required if you flew down.

Distances:

Walking distance to nearest restaurant and pub.

The nearest small town is Mylor which is a 5min drive and has a cost cutter and basic supplies as well as a wonderful butcher selling fresh pasties.

Falmouth is a 15min drive and has incredible restaurants and shops to enjoy as well as regular events through the year.

The city of Truro is 35min drive away and has excellent shopping and restaurants.

Booking Notes:
BOOKINGS: are made from 3 p.m. on Friday of arrival to 10 a.m. on the Friday day of departure unless otherwise agreed with the owners.

PAYMENT: 20% with the signed booking form and the balance before six weeks of arrival. All payments to be made by cheques made payable to M A Bomford.

CANCELLATIONS: Cancellations will be accepted up to eight weeks before your arrival. A refund of the monies paid less 20% of the full price of the holiday will be made.

Changeover Day:
Changeovers are on Fridays. Arrival from 3pm, departure at 10am.

Notes:

  • Glorious water views - there is a small footpath between the garden and the water so you have no cars passing in front of the house and the views are uninterrupted - a great place to unwind or have a stroll into the harbour for a drink or meal at the Cafe or Castaways or stroll around the Trefussis Point for spectacular views of Falmouth - foot ferry from Flushing to Falmouth or catch the Water Taxi to Falmouth from the Harbour - no driving! Duvets, pillows and bed linen are supplied. We supply tea towels and oven gloves for the kitchen but not personal towels. For stays of more than a week, changing of linen and cleaning can be arranged as required. Other: A Table Tennis room is available for guests to use There is a “wet room” for drying wetsuits and sails in the back garden and outside hose for washing down boats/wetsuits
