About the Owner

We lived in this lovely cottage for 20 years until sadly our family outgrew it and we had to move. We now live close by in North Ballachulish on our family croft.

Great Exploration Base

  • 5 of 5

This cottage is in a great location right in the heart of the village of Glencoe. The house is small but comfortable, fitted out nicely for a group of 4 plus a dog. The property is fenced which was nice for our Lab. It is just a few steps from the village shop, a nicely provisioned grocery with most of what we needed for the week (nice whisky selection as well). Just down the road is the Coe river perfect for walks and dips in the chilly water. There is a pub and cafe in the village (2 minute walk) and several more just short hikes (25-30 minute walks) away. The property has reliable internet which was fantastic for completing several work related video conferences, one lasting over 2 hours with 15 participants- no problems.

Overall, a great base for exploring this wonderful area. We will be coming back again.

Great family cottage

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at Etive Cottage for an extra long weekend with the wife, some friends and our 7month old for the mtb World Cup in nearby Fort William. The location of the cottage is wonderful, it's close to all local amenities (the village shop just across the road and seemed to sell everything you could possibly need) and offers incredible views all in a quiet picturesque village. Located in Glencoe its just a short drive to Fort William and other nice places to visit. The views of the Lochs and Mountains are simply breathtaking. The cottage is spacious but cosy, with a very well equipped kitchen that met all our needs, and the comfortable living room gave us space to relax and unwind in the evening. The garden is pretty and private and benefits from the best of the views. All in all a wonderful cottage where we felt right at home. We will definitely be visiting again and would recommend this cottage to couples and families as a great base to visit the Scottish Highlands. Thank you we loved it!

A well equipped, cosy cottage in a great location

  • 5 of 5

We had a fabulous stay at Etive Cottage in Glencoe! Our host was very friendly and went out of her way to meet our needs. The cottage is located in the village within easy walking distance to food, drink, and activities. It is well equipped with all you need for a week away. The beds are comfortable and the lounge cosy with plenty of comfortable seating and a wood burner. The fenced garden was pretty, a lovely place for humans and dogs. The clothes line was an added bonus. We would definitely stay again when in Glencoe.
