About Guy Crawford

We purchased our apartment off plan here in 2007, as a family of keen skiers we had finally found the ideal location with ski in/out facilities.

As our children are now mostly in Asia and we use the apartment now for only a few weeks a year, we have decided to make it available to rent. Although it still remains very much our home in the Alps.

Why Guy Crawford chose Bourg-Saint-Maurice

This apartment is not fully unique, but only a few have the log fires and in winter after a good days skiing it is both restful and comforting to curl up with a book and a drink in front of the fire . Kindling and logs are available at the store in the village and we have included the cleaning of the fire in the weekly rental price.

Lovely cosy flat, great view from the balcony towards 2000. Perfect family accommodation.

We enjoyed a two week holiday in this superb accomodation.

The snowfall was the heaviest experienced for years...when lifts were closed, the cosy afternoons on the sofa with a log fire and good film kept us very happy.

The village is one of the idilic ski areas.

Great selection of restaurants within 1950 and some charismatic wine bars.

But above all the whole area oozes a safe happy environment.

Definitely recommended.

Guy and Liz were the perfect hosts ... Thank you.

Great apartment in an extensive ski area

This apartment is very comfortable and well equipped for self catering - we particularly liked having a full oven and a dishwasher. Although the second bedroom is not ensuite, it is just as good as with the bathroom and toilet right next door to it. There were plenty of towels and bathrobes and slippers were provided, all of which can be used when going to the spa within the building and which is free of charge.

The highlight of this apartment is being in Arc 1950, a pretty and car free resort (there is a large underground car park linked to all the buildings - charges apply), with direct access to the slopes from the ski locker room (heated), and back again. There are plenty of restaurants and a good bakery and supermarket. We only had the Les Arcs ski pass and found plenty of easy and more challenging runs in this area - and loads of off piste options. This pass also enables you to have one day over in La Plagne - another large ski area.

Wonderful ski in ski out apartment

This lovely apartment is on the 7th floor of the Manor Savoie building. It is very roomy and tastefully decorated and was a most comfortable base for skiing in Les Arcs. The bedrooms were very adequate for our family of 4 and the kitchen is well equipped. Guy the owner was a pleasure to deal with and answered all our queries. Just 2 requests. A microwave would have been handy although there is an excellent oven and 4 hobs. Also a few more photos on the website would have done more justice to this lovely apartment. We would thoroughly recommend it.

The apartment is great. A central communal area consisting of a kitchen, dining and lounge with T.V. (english channels) and wi-fi. Off one side is the main bedroom with a really good sized ensuite, while off the other side is a twin room with their own bathroom and separate toilet. The views are brilliant. Views from the balcony looking up to Les Arcs 2000, while the view from the main bedroom looks over the snow covered main street. As part of the Radison Blu franchise, full access to the pool, spa and sauna was awesome The kids loved swimming outdoors surrounded by snow covered mountains. WE LOVE THIS PLACE!! It has a great villiage atmosphere.

Guy and Liz are great with communication and do everything to make your stay enjoyable.

Note to prospective tennants: You have to try the local tarteflette (potato and cheese dish), Genepi (local alcoholic spirit), and the Belgian waffles about 3 doors up the street. They are wonderful.

This is a brilliant place for couples, families or anyone wanting a great French Alps experience.

Geneva and Lyon main airports at a few hours away but some flights fly into Chambery which is about 2 hours away. Train and bus services are available from all airports. Private car transfers can also be arranged.

The apartment is in the luxury hotel Manoir Savoie residence in the village. Our apartment has a fireplace, and stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
